We were camped at the Yuma Lake RV resort on the Northeast so we were close. Signs took us to the park but nothing to get excited about. Locals use the boat lunch but nothing else unless you want to fish.

We have visited there several times and nice to see the birds and Mitry Lake is very nice, but unfortunately the grasses are taken over a lot of the lake.

A nice area to visit a the day of exploring. Not really kept up as a park area and a lot of unmarked roads that go no where. Mitry Lake is nearby with washrooms and a small boat launch.

Betty's Kitchen National Recreation Trail is RELAXSATION, the view and the sounds of nature during the day are just as wonderful as during the entire night camping out.

This BLM managed area is a decent little backwater nature observatory/conservancy area that is easily accessible. It does burn from time to time due to wildfire, but is currently in good shape.

This is an area that a local group made into a nice place to observe the wildlife, relax, have picnics and fish. There is a small pond/lake, some picnic shelters and a very nice trail with the occasion bench and placards. There is no swimming...More
