This flea market is a dump. The prices are not cheap as others say. Example, I can buy a huge lighted sun wall hanging in Ft Worth, Texas for $50.00, at this market it was $100.00. The vendors that sell used items have overcrowded shops, most you can't walk into without worry of hitting an item and you know the saying, you break, you buy. We have been to many markets all over the country and this is by far the most disappointing. My expectations are not high when going to an open market, you go and be the judge, that is if you want to be disappointed.

Like going here to walk around there can be some good deals. Just have to check several places that can carry the same items. Take your time and really look. Some good eats there too. My Favorite is Ricks kitchen. The most pleasant and honest guy you ever want to meet. Prices are very reasonable. It’s the only restaurant there I’ll eat at. We got here often

This market is the best ...
Come out every Saturday. Listen to the best country entertainer in Yuma.
Nashville recording artist Duke Michaels..
Fat daddys food is mouth watering.
All takes place in the main food court.

We wanted to go and drove all the way to the address just to find it was closed for the season from May to November. It should state that somewhere so that people would know if it's open.

There are a couple of other competing "swap meets" in Yuma, but this by far the best, simply because it has the largest selection of vendors and is easily accessible off of 32nd street about half way between central Yuma and the foothills to the East. They claim to have 1,000 spots. If that be the case they probably have about 600 of them occupied, as the place is only slightly over half filled.

It is open Thursdays thru Sunday and on Friday and Saturday they charge 50 cents a head to get in. The selection of products for sale is wide and there are a number of fast food stands. Restrooms are centrally located but only moderately sanitary. Browsing the vendor booths is light entertainment and you'll find it hard to see it all in one day, so we go back every week or so. Worth the price of admission, especially on Thursdays and Sundays when it's free.

Not quite an open air market, this market is open mostly for the winter residents since there is no air conditioning.
My favorite shops are the fabric shop and Wally‘s World.

If you have mobility challenges don't go to Maggie's Gifts. We were not welcomed because one of us uses a mobility device. In fact, Maggie chased us out! Then sent the market manager to tell us we broke an item and that we must pay for it. You know pay or they call the police! Sad.

Laurie, I am sorry for your experience but as per any retail store policy, a customer is liable for any damage. Your party broke a vase, and was politely asked to pay for it. When the gentleman refused repeatedly, management had no other resort but follow procedures and call for the police. Again, sorry for your experience.

This market is the place to find all things RV related, from nuts and bolts to RV repair. Best from Jan - end of March. Some free entertainment and a decent food/snack selection. Dogs are welcome but no handy place to pee. Lots of parking and it's free.

This market used to be huge and has vendors which really wanted you to have a great time and get items at a good price. The feeling here has dropped and the prices are way up. For this kind of market we will make the trip to the Mesa market. Substantially better in our groups opinion. Let's hope things get better next winter!
