Stop at the Park accross from Old Town Yuma it looked very nice on the AZ side , had bike paths and walking paths along the Colardo river and clean. The California side needs help in reference to appearance.

The Heritage Area has a lot of offer in a small area centered around the former ferry and riverboat landing on the Colorado River (hence the name "Yuma Crossing"). It's not just one attraction but a whole group of different historic sites. I recommend starting at the Visitor

A good park with something for every one. Sitting behind the hilton garden inn this is a nice walk to the prison. The park its self has a few things to do for children and would be a nice place for a picnic. You could also go swimming in the river which many people were
