It's interesting how two metal beams can remind you of such a horrible day and yet demonstrate how we as American's will overcome whatever is thrown at us. It's a simple but sobering reminder of a day that most of us would care to forget....More

Most of us only saw the destruction on the news. Seeing actual beams from the towers sent a shiver down my spine. This display is just off the interstate. Take a moment and stop.

Welcome to Winslow and there stands pieces of the WTC, an American flag and a lovely park all at the entrance to Winslow off Hwy 87. An acknowledgement to this tragedy. Very moving.

This was on our list of "To Do" things on Route 66. Worth the stop to remind us how blessed we are and pay tribute to the many that lost their lives on 9/11/2001. The memorial speaks for itself. God Bless!

We stopped by to visit on 9/11 during our visit to Winslow - the garden was adorned with a tiny U.S. flag for each victim. The two pieces of steel structure from the Twin Towers were very moving to observe.

We were visiting Winslow for the "corner" shot and I found this on Trip Advisor. Its a simple memorial, but speaks volumes. The two beams are from the World Trade Center towers after burning. It's hard to imagine just how hot the fire was to...More
