The first thing I did after checking in at La Posada was to visit this shrine to songwriter Jackson Browne and The Eagles, who made the song "Take It Easy" famous. I returned in the morning for better light as the wall and statue faces east. I couldn't believe it ... While I was standing across the street taking a... More

We are standing on that famous corner, and on a Sunday afternoon in August and there is a line of people waiting to take photos, but every business in town is locked up tight. There are a lot of fine sights to see around Winslow besides the famous corner -- Chevelon Canyon, Clear Creek, La Posada, Meteor Crater, Homolovi State... More

When we found out that we would be going right by Winslow AZ I told my husband that we had to find "The Corner" and take a picture. Winslow has signs everywhere to point you in the right direction and the locals are way cool about offering to take a picture for you. Route 66 ran through Winslow and although... More

it is as advertised guys. Just being there and seeing the huge route 66 sign on the road is enough to make you want to take lots of pictures.

It's found in the centre of town. It's well worth the visit for a photo op. This is especially true with the huge route 66 badge on the cross roads. There are a couple of shops selling merchandise on the other corners of the cross which make the most of route 66

This place is just really really cool. The people of Winslow who have put it all together have done a great job of catching all of the elements of one of the major songs of my high school days, rolled up with the iconic Route 66. We searched this out on a whim after spending a night in Winslow before... More

This Route 66 attraction owes its existence to the 1972 Eagles' song, Take It Easy. This attraction, a small park paying homage to the song was opened in 1999. It's a must-see photo op for anyone traveling along Route 66, or simply finding oneself in Winslow, Arizona. While it is not part of Historic Route 66, it's worth visiting for... More

Is it fancy? No Is it cheesy? Yes Should you stop? Hell yes I debated beginning this review with the lyrics from Take it Easy then I realized I wouldn't be able to read my own review, or look at myself in the mirror without vomiting a little. Look, you have to understand what this place is. It's the town... More
