About
Located on a section of old Route 66, the Deer Farm is 10 acres of absolute animal wonderland. Walk a path around our park to view wallabies, llamas, mini cattle, bison, peacocks, & much more. Walk with deer, feed the deer right from your hands. Chat with a parrot, Mozart is a very entertaining cockatoo, Scarlet (a lilac crowned Amazon Parrot) a bit more shy, pet a goat, kiss a camel. You will have a blast here if you are an animal lover.

This was an amazing experience. But beware if you ignore the deer they will untie your shoes. :) The deer are super friendly and are used to getting feed. The other animals are pretty cute and amazing too.

One good thing about this place, I gotta see animal and wildlife. But it's not worth enough when comes to entry fee.
Adults: $11.50
Children 3-13: $6.75
Children 2 and under are FREE.
Seniors 62+: $10.00
With these entry fee, this place should have more wildlife and attractions to convincing travelers to come back again. To me, one is more than enough. I would suggest save the entry fee and visit other places close around like Bearizona or Prescott zoo.

Pat, Ralph and Randy are heros! They helped us physically and emotionally in an emergency car situation. We will always be grateful. Also, the deer farm is adorable and fun. Nice gift shop as well. Thank you so much Pat, Randy and Ralph for coming to our rescue.

Beware: They chew on your clothes and could knock the little kids down but they are darn cute! Very healing experience too just sitting on the bench and watching them. It does get muddy when it rains and deer food can really add up.

We saw the sign on the side of the road and decided to stop for a little break. Our 3 year old son loved it - and so did I! So many deer to feed - they did not bite or nip at us and seemed content to let my son feed and pet them. Now, I will say it was pricey, cost my family of 3 $52 to enter and feed the animals. Visit only lasted about 20 to 30 minutes. Seems like admission should include feed. However, it was fun after hours in the car and was the perfect thing to do before we headed into town to get ready for the Polar Express.

Such a wonderful way to spend an afternoon...you get to pet and feed the animals.
Definitely add this to your itinerary if you're traveling with kids or are an animal lover. Highly recommend.

This was so fun! You buy cups of deer food and then you exit the gift shop into the park. You are surrounded by deer on all sides. And they all know you have food! It's amazing to get so up close and personal with them. We had three generations with us and all equally enjoyed the experience.

This is one of the greatest animal adventures I've ever done!! It is pure joy! The staff are some of the nicest people we've met in Arizona. They are not just there to sell you stuff, they educate you. I do this experience anytime I'm near Williams. You go in, purchase some food, if you want, then walk through the gate and the deer flock to you. The do not bite, but do nudge you when they want fed. Don't wear good clothing, wear something for outdoors, can get mud on it. I have had the deer chew on my shirt a little, never ripped or tore a hole. They are just affectionate and want your attention and that feed you're handing out. I giggle incessantly when I do this because I feel like a kid again. There are other animals as you finish feeding the deer and walk through. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. One of my all time favorites!

This was the hi-light of our trip to the Grand Canyon. The little deer were so cute and it was amazing to be so close to these creatures. There are other animals there, but the center deer pen is the most worthwhile experience. We each bought the food in a souvenir cup for $4 which we thought was quite reasonable. As soon as we went into the deer pen we were swarmed by these young deer who knew what was in the cups, but it was fun. Beware if you do not feed the deer they may nibble on your clothes, but they have no teeth and can not hurt you. We spent a bit of time with these gentle animals and wish we could have spent more time with them.. This is an experience people of all ages will enjoy.

I'm not a zealot or anything, but I am a big animal lover & just won't enjoy myself in a place where animals are clearly exhibiting signs of a poor quality of life in captivity. It's why I stopped visiting zoos a long time ago. It's hard to tell - the majority of the reviews are positive, and it's been in business a very long time, however there are enough comments specifically related to poor conditions for the animals that I have to wonder. If there's anyone able to rebut some of those comments or provide some reassuring information that might help me decide if I should visit, I'd sure appreciate it.
What is the cost for 2 adults and 2 children? Hotels close by?

12.50/adult 7:50/child over 2 and you have to buy snacks to feed the animals. Either stay in Williams or Flagstaff for hotels

The way tripadvisor forwarded your question they did not include a motel's name, only the deer farm review. However, we always stay in motels which include both, and particularly the motels I reviewed in Williams do contain both. Hope this helps.
