Pete was actually there the day we went through. Funny little guy. Has 1/2 the station set up as it was in the 50's and 60's with lots of station memorabilia. The other 1/2 is the gift shop. He wasn't very friendly at first, but as some of his older "guests" started coming through, he lightened up and started telling tells of his past with the station. He's known several of the well known authors of books about the mother road and has some really great stories !! It's an iconic rte 66 building, so it's worth at least a stop for a photo!!

Some of the gas pumps look like those from the 60's, but there were others from before that which I had never seen before. They also had tankers (some pre automobile days, as well as some from probably the early 1900's. I enjoyed looking at them while my wife was in shopping. I especially liked the prisoner from Michigan still strapped in the penitentiary pickup.

We stopped by to see this museum, and since I have Kidney disease I was wearing my mask. I was told by the owner that no masks were worn there. I said that I prefer to wear my mask. He started to yell at me, and told me to get out. He pointed to another person who also had a mask on and told them to get out too. Everyone just left, including people who had just pulled up to visit the museum. Even the people who didn’t have a mask on. I asked him why he was so mean, he just yelled and said he wasn’t mean. Then called me the c word. There is plenty to see on art 66 without taking this abuse.

Terrible. One person in our party was recovering from Covid and we all were wearing masks. The owner came out and yelled at us for wearing masks and literally kicked us out. Told us we were fools for wearing masks. He started following us out like another reviewer posted. He had security cameras around and then came out of a room and whisked us out. I too had heard of this but never experienced it first hand with being kicked out of an establishment. Very sad. But what we did see was just old items from the 50s-60s—like an old cash register and old license plates. So we didn’t miss much.

Wow. I have read stories about people being incredibly rude about masks before but this was my first time encountering it. The disconnect about personal freedom was astounding. Don't wear your mask... fine, nothing I can do about that. But I have the choice to wear of not wear one if I want to. It's the hypocrisy of it that continues to astonish me. As for this owner in particular. He came out looking for a fight. We were content to walk away peacefully but he kept going on and on about how we were the idiots who believed in something that "wasn't true." He pushed and pushed continuing his combative attitude in front of our young children while we were walking away. It was a great learning opportunity for our kids about common courtesy. So I guess, thanks for that rude dude. Since I can't choose 0 starts the one star was for that.

The museum is not worth the hatred and racism. The owner told us to take our masks off in the store. We were uncomfortable with that since it was crowded and so we left. The owner gave us a hard time about it and said “it’s my store and I can tell you not to wear masks” he said they were stupid and “stupido” so both me and my Mexican American boyfriend (who was speaking to him in English) could understand…

The worst! My wife has cancer and her treatment has made her immunocompromised, so she must wear a mask, as do I so I keep her safe from germs and viruses. The man there yelled at her, and then me, as we started to enter, saying nobody with a mask was allowed. We tried to call Collin but he wouldn’t listen. Absolute JERK!

The owner was very anti mask! Started swearing and going on about not having to wear one in his museum. Was very angry about the mask situation. Since my husband and I are both in health care (he is a respiratory therapist) we have a different opinion about wearing masks. Very uncomfortable and I ended up just walking out☹️

Wow! The guy came out and told my husband he couldn’t come in with a face mask! Seriously! My husband is a high risk cancer patient and was told he could not enter with a face mask!
