The highlight of our trip. Only bummer was it was 115 when we were there, but we could have had so much fun walking around the property in slightly cooler weather. Well worth the drive if you're an animal lover.

Bought a groupon to check it out during quarantine. 1st off there is absolutely no internet here so I couldn't pull up my groupon. The front desk told me I could either pay full price or drive down the road to find service. Finally 13 miles later we hit service & was able to screenshot my groupon barcode. We debated going back as we were super frustrated (was told they have wifi but it is only for staff in animal care center :/) Anyways we had driven 2.5 hours to get there so we decided to go back. It was 2:45 by the time we got back. I asked about the tours & was told about the cat feeding at 3:30 for an extra $10/person so we went for it. There was only 1 other family in the place besides us so that was awesome! We walked around & were able to get pretty close to the animals which was really cool. Then we went on the tour which I have to say was totally worth it. The man that led us was extremely knowledgeable & obviously cared for the animals. This place only takes in rescues & he told us all their stories while we watched the other staff feed them. The tour was an hour long & went by so fast! We decided to walk around afterwards too.Just be aware they close at 5pm & it's a firm time meaning they want you out of the park by 5pm. Other helpful tips: Its all dirt roads so wear sneakers. They do have picnic tables & benches around however, I wouldn't come here once it reaches triple digits outside as there isn't that much shade. I was with my teenager & glad my 7yr old didn't come as it was hot & she hates walking & it is a lot of walking. So I would recommend for older kids or take a stroller. The dirt paths would probably be fine with strollers. Also there is a gift shop & they had route 66 root beer which was delicious!! We will definitely come back here again.

There was 25 of us, all senior citizens, and everyone enjoyed it very much. We called ahead, saying we had 25 in our group and they cut the admission price a little bit for each person. We took the guided tour, which is 10.00 more per person, I highly recommend this tour. Although you can opt to walk thru this sanctuary you would be missing out on the guide explaining how each and every animal got to be there, it really was interesting.
