Visit Tucson's closest winery and enjoy handcrafted Arizona wines with spectacular mountain views. Charron Vineyards is a small family owned winery located less than 30 minutes drive from downtown Tucson. Established in 1995, Charron Vineyards produces many distinctive wines including their award winning White Merlot. At Charron you are encouraged to relax while each hand crafted wine is brought to your table and your knowledgeable server explains the wines journey from grape to glass. There are also gourmet picnic baskets available to enjoy while you sip, and a delightful wine themed gift shop. The wide selection of wines produced at Charron have a characteristic style imparted by the environment in which they are produced. The higher elevation overlooking the rolling slopes of the Santa Rita and Empire Mountains brings fresh mountain air, rich soil and an essence of tranquility. Be sure to visit one of the oldest, most picturesque wineries in the state, with a beautiful new tasting room and outdoor covered deck nestled amongst the mature grape vines with breathtaking mountain views.

This was our last winery stop on the way home and wow was it terrific. Beautiful views, we sat out on the patio. We ordered their picnic cheese box. It does come in a little box with all prepackaged items but it was great. Lots...More

We were here last year and had to return. The patio is a very enjoyable place to sit and sample wine while looking out over the vineyard. Of course it's dormant now, but still a nice view. The tasting room was staffed by a friendly...More

Route 10 to Route 83. Don’t be deterred by the dirt road. For $8 you can have a tasting of six wines on a beautiful porch with a great view. There is also limited food and you might even decide to bring home a bottle...More

This vineyard was recommended to us by a dear friend, but he forgot to tell us about the dodgy dirt track (we'd hired a Chevrolet Camero in LA and it is definitely not happy on dirt tracks!) The location is superb. Some of the wines...More

Charron has a very good location, although getting to it is a little bit challenging if you have a low clearance vehicle (we didn't). Tasting is a bit more laid back than some places; one has a seat on their expensive deck overlooking the vineyard...More

I can see this winery from my ranch. I've lived in the area for over 3 decades and watched the vines being planted in 1994, watched them as they were nurtured and grown. I'm really happy the owners take such good care of the vines...More

We thoroughly enjoyed this vineyard and also shared it for the first time with local family. A little tough to get to it, but the spectacular view and outdoor patio was well worth it. Nice selection of wines with wonderful interpretation of each. Bought a...More

Nice little spot with some decent wines, friendly staff. We left with a few bottles of wine. While there we ordered one of their picnic snack boxes, which had plenty to enjoy for our group of four. It would also be a nice spot to...More

The help was very informative and enthusiastic of their wines. Very reasonably priced and the bumpy road to the winery has been fixed. This is a don't miss winery if you are in the area. Very beautiful area, great wine and relaxing time.
