Our family of 5 did the Antelope Canyon & River Adventure tour, a 12 hour tour that leaves just after sunrise from the Tusayan airport, flies over the canyon in a fixed wing aircraft for about 45 minutes, then arrives in Page AZ. From there you do a guided tour of Antelope Canyon, and then take a smoothwater motorized river raft ride on the Colorado, followed by a bus ride back to the Canyon South Rim.
We had a partly cloudy day but the flight over the canyon was awesome! What a great way to see the Grand Canyon. There were unfortunately a number of nicks and scratches on most of the windows so that made it a little more challenging to get great photos but the flight was smooth (we got lucky there as the currents were calm) and the views were terrific.
We then were met at the Page airport by our Native American guide for the Antelope Canyon tour, and that was a real highlight. Our guide (unfortunately I forget her name) was terrific, not just sharing interesting information but also showing us how to get some spectacular photos that we would have never thought to take.
We then went on to the raft ride, which was just under four hours. Unfortunately we got there about an hour before the scheduled start time of the ride so we had to wait for a bit, but we were comfortable. The ride itself is about a 15 mile ride that takes a bit less than four hours, with a stop to see some petroglyphs. Saw some cool sights, as you can tell from the pace it's far from a thrill ride, but was a very laid back, casual ride down the Colorado, and our guide was excellent.
After that, it was a bus ride back with a 40 minute stop at a trading post.

A pretty laid back but enjoyable day. Everything was done well. If you're looking for more of a thrill just do one of the air tours, but if what I described sounds good then you'll enjoy this tour.

We're so happy you enjoyed your tour and appreciate you taking the time to write about it! This tour is definitely one of the most inclusive, offering sights of both Grand Canyon and Antelope Canyon in one day with a relaxing river float. Thank you again for flying with us! Sincerely, GCSA Management

Fantastic flight over the Grand Canyon in a 10 seater Cessna Caravan. Only two of us on board with the pilot, Capt Jack. The other couple booked on the flight went to the wrong airport 3 hours away. Airline went anyway with just the 2 of us. Read the paperwork people! I got to sit next to the pilot and got absolutely fantastic views. That said everyone in Caravan gets a window seat anyway. As a PPL it was great to see the pilot in action in a strong crosswind when taking off and landing. No problems at all. Got to say it again - fantastic!

As probably a once in a lifetime visit we did the full package which although expensive we felt we got full value. Pick up from Las Vegas hotel to Boulder City 30min or so then a small plane ride passing over Hoover dam. Great views and get to see the Canyon and the approach to it. Both had window seats for great views. Helicopter ride along Canyon then down into it for landing and a boat trip of 30 min or so. Spectacular views and felt we were the only ones there. Quiet season but most people at top of rim. Helicopter back out then 2 hrs to explore viewpoints around the West Rim before plane trip back and drop off at hotel. Each bit of the package gave a different perspective but maybe river view with Indian boat guide gave the least touristy viewpoint

Air tour in twin-engine, high-wing Otter was affordable, enjoyable and very worthwhile. Lends another perspective to rim, trail, valley, or river tours. Thanks, to staff & pilots Dan & Sam.

In my photos you can see the plane tire and wing. The views were spectacular!!! Captain Jack was an amazing pilot great visibility and the flight was narrated (in different languages)

Amazing and awesome. A must. I would do this before the Pink Jeep-this tour was the best with the most sights.

Terrible. Beautiful day, clear sky’s and they cancelled our 10am flight because the plane had not arrived yet, even though there was a plane sitting outside. We rescheduled for 1pm and an hour later they cancelled that flight. I guess all the planes they show on the website are just photoshopped. Totally undependable. I’m thinking since it was only 4 of us it wasn’t worth it for them to fly.

We are sorry that you had a bad experience with us. Planes on the website are not photoshopped and we would like to look into the matter further. If you could email us your reservation number and full name to guestrelations@papillon.com, we would appreciate it.

The airplane tour was fantastic and the pilots super fun and friendly! We had a great time and awesome views! It was totally worth it! The little plane is less expensive than the helicopter and just can’t go as low but the ride is longer and views of the canyon just as stunning!

I experienced the Grand Canyon many years ago so it was time to experience it again with my family. We were picked up at our hotel and driven to the airport. It was a short drive but gave us a chance to see the surrounding area. The flight was uneventful thankfully, it was about 30 minutes to the canyon but enabled us to see Lake Mead and the dam. The flight over the canyon was about 45 minutes. One side had the view going and the other on the way back. It was quite amazing but it was difficult to gauge the depth. Steven our pilot was excellent adding information to the pre recorded info.
It was not the least expensive activity we did but well worth the trip.
If you can make sure you are not in the second row from the front or all your photos will have the wing support in them.
If you can make time for something different.

Super professional, friendly, an amazing experience and a really great value.

I was a little hesitant at first cause this seemed like a lot of $$$ for a tourist experience that was pretty quick. But after doing it, I’m so glad to have done it. Totally worth it to see how big the Grand Canyon is and to see it from a different POV.

Recommend this to family and friends without hesitation!!

Loved the airplane ride over the Grand Canyons and the float trip down the Glen Canyon. I was disappointed in the Antelope slot tour due to the poor guide. First, she was right rude when she picked us complaining we were late. Ahh, I didn't fly the plane nor did anyone n the group. Second, We had visited the Antelope Canyon previously and with a different tour group. This tour guide rushed us through the canyon and only took one photo, which was as poorly done. She did not get the wings like Leland. Leland took remarkable photos of everyone at multiple locations and knew how to set everyone's cameras just right. He played an instrument in one part f the canyon. Gave him a more stories and history. I recommend changing your partnership that does the tours in the nice van vs. the back of a pickup.

Since I had done it before, I knew the difference.

Loved Loved the plane and float trip, which is what I really wanted.
