When you first get there you are greeted outside by a giant rabbit... when we saw him we knew we had to stop in. He is a statue and is quite remarkable. Inside you will find all types of art as well as a small gift shop with many handmade items. Worth a look!

At the annual Tubac Festival of the Arts, you become and experience "art-overload!" Twice annually, February and November, Tubac Chamber of Commerce organizes two of Arizona's premier art shows. During this year, the 57th annual event was held from February 10-14, 2016; and honestly, even living so far away in San Diego, this spectacular could easily draw me again. Over... More

There is a special presentation by talented high school children going on at this time. We were very impressed at the amount of creative children 's art. We actually bought a photo of a sunflower up close that is absoulutely magnificant.

Tubac village is a great outing for walking around and people watching, we spent 2 afternoons there and also visited the state park, which has a nice setup right at the edge of town.

There is no place to comment generally about the town of Tubac, but the name of this place covers our impression of Tubac. (and yes, the Center itself is wonderful as well. Yes, there is a lot of generic southwest crafts in some of the stores, but if you explore a little deeper, you will find that something special, whether... More

This is more of a review on Tubac. It is a little city about 45 miles south of Tucson. It comes more alive in winter months when the snowbirds appear. (sadly!) It has a lot of nice little shops with dessert type them items, etc. Go to Elviras for lunch or dinner, its excelent.

Tubac is a great place to go and see the local artists and buy some local art and this is both a fun and refreshing air conditioned stop when walking around the town.

I was SO excited to introduce my husband to this Center of the Arts as I had been here MANY years ago and even bought a wonderful gourd sculpture here. While it remained to a lovely space and the exhibition was excellent I had hoped to find something fabulous to purchase again. The quality of the artists wasn't as stellar... More
