Good way to spend a few hours. Nice hike with guides spotting animals for you with scopes. The zip lines were good for first timers. Not very long and not too many. Worth the effort if you have the time and money.

I was very disappointed with this one. The staff are disinterested and I had to persistently ask about their facilities as they didn't tell us what our entrance fee covered, or what else you can do there. You pay for a trail basically and a few sign boards. Hardly saw anything - one coati, a toucan very far away and... More

I spent the afternoon here and went on two tours. Restaurant was good - friendly and peaceful setting. First tour we did was the canopy zip lining. It was very fun especially to see wildlife including sloths and an anteater. The hike was thoughtfully done with a cold towel to use at the end of the hot walk up to... More

We recently went to Hacienda Baru for both the 5 hour lowland bird hike and for the twilight hike. While I don't think we would do the twilight hike again, we would definitely recommend the lowland bird hike. We booked a private tour and had Deiber as our guide. We hiked for a couple of hours then had breakfast in... More

This was my first Zipline adventure and I was a little nervous. After a 30 min walk into the forest with plenty of stops along the way to view wildlife, we reached the first of 8 lines we would traverse. The two guides were fun, professional, and made me feel secure.

We spent the better part of a day here. Did the cable ride, not that great. Walked the trails, saw many capuchen monkeys and several birds. Stopped by the restaurant after for a refreshing drink. Not expensive but informative and all in all a nice way to spend a few hours.

Three-hour tour of Hacienda Baru from 7-10 a.m. Saw lots of interesting species - monkeys, boars, birds, sloths and ants. It was a nice way to spend the morning.

This was an efficient Costa Rican experience. Monkeys and sloths and a zip line in three hours. Pretty cool place. Our guides were fun and funny. We watched a couple of monkeys hunt down and eat a green lizard. I was not expecting that.
