Wanted to try several restaurants in Tombstone. We arrived and were seated promptly, 2 of us at a 4 top. Ordered food and it came out in a reasonable time considered how busy they were. We ordered Chicken Caesar salads. When they arrived I immediately noticed the texture was off and upon inspection, discovered the chicken was raw. They were apologetic and made it right. It took a while and by the time I received my new salad, my wife was nearly done with hers. In addition they seated 2 guests at our table instead of at an open 4 top which was really weird and not appreciated. Will not return.

What can I say that I continue to say and it has been over a year since I was here. The hamburger was great and my guests were completely satisfied with their meal. This continues to be one of the best places to eat when I am in Tombstone. I truly believe you cannot be dissatisfied with the amount of food or the prices. I hope they continue with the quality of service and food.

We just returned home from a three day trip to Tombstone. Day one was spent visiting the usual tourist traps, ending with a beer at the Crystal Palace. What an incredible place!!! Upon entering we met the lady miner that does "lap dances" during the feature shows. What a hoot... Then we bellied up to the bar and were met by one of the most friendly bartenders we have ever come across. The bar itself is something that should be marked as a "Must see" while in Tombstone. Half way through our drink we met the local artist Mark Brown. We purchaced three of his pieces that were absolutely amazing. ( While we sat there he did some impromptu drawings on bar napkins and gave them to us.) All of the staff are just wonderful. I can't imagine dealing with tourists all day long- day in and day out- and still being in character and having a smile on your face.
Day two was spent in the usual tourist fashion- this time stopping for lunch at the Crystal Palace. Again, the same impression. Great wait staff and excellent bartenders.
I simply can't believe the poor review since we had two excellent encounters. We will be back. If you go and see Mark Brown tell him "Larry & Terry" sent ya!!

We stopped in the Crystal our first night in town to have a beer and listen to the band. The band was great, but we didn't stay long. The crowd was mostly locals and we didn't feel too welcome. We wanted to see it again in the daylight & gave it another chance the next afternoon around lunch time. Since we weren't there to eat, we felt the wait staff were a little put out by us coming through to look at the beautiful history. If you are in town, I would definately pop in to check it out, becasue it is truly beautiful. I just didn't get a very positive vibe on my visits.

My fiance and I are from California we went on a road trip to tombstone in a Harley, I didn't know much about the history in Tombstone. Ended up staying another night and loved it. it's really amazing definitely recommend everyone to go check it out! The people in town are really friendly the actors are awesome specially the people in The "Crystal palace saloon," that gave me so much advice and made me realize I was about to make the biggest mistake of my life. I just want to say thanks RJ for your compliments and the cowboy that kept me company.

Recently spent two nights in Tombstone, and both times I ended up spending time in the Crystal Palace. With a mixture of the friendly locals plus a few tourists, it was easy to have a good time. There was live music both nights, and plenty of dancing if you wanted to. A pool table was also available.
I would definitely go back!

We visited several years ago. Planned on one night passing through Tombstone. Visited Boot Hill and other tourist type places. We loved the old west shows, the actors were professional and friendly. Just what would have been typical old west. We ended up staying for 3 nights. The Crystal Palace was unique. Bartenders dressed like the old west with vests, gun holsters. looked very authentic. All you had to do to engage them was to ask a question. yes the bar was absolutely beautiful, the rest was plain. However i think it depicted how it was in the old west. I guess we have a tendency to compare it to the movies rather than to think about how it really was like. I highly recommend Crystal Palace, don't be too shy or expect anything other than the old reality. Ask for the history book, it will amaze and lead to open conversation.

The Crystal Palace remains what it once was, which is unusual for Tombstone where every building wants to be a saloon today so tourists can make believe they're in a Western.
The food here is fairly good if not particularly authentic to the Wild West of yesterday. They serve a lot of modern fast food type items including hamburgers and fries. Their fries are great with a nice beer batter that gives them some extra punch. The rest of the menu is equally good and tops most of the other "saloons" in town easily.
If you hit the Crystal Palace early in the day you also won't be subjected to mind numbing and ear bleeding music. On a recent trip we got there before they cranked up the stereo system (real authentic) and blasted us out of our chairs.
The CP also provides live entertainment on weekends. However, if you are sensitive to noise levels you might want to listen from down the street. The decibel level two blocks away near the Bird Cage on Saturdays is loud enough to enjoy the music at a decent level!
Certainly, I would suggest this as the place to grab an afternoon meal when on Allen Street because of the higher quality of the food and the fact they do have respites from the loud music during the day allowing you to actually get a sense of what the Old West was like before stereo and amplifiers.

We stopped at the Crystal Palace for a drink and a look around. I have to say that the wooden bar itself was very, very impressive! The problem was that it was so dark inside you could hardly see it. We had to buy a post card to be able to appreciate its beauty. The rest of the decor, however, was sadly lacking. When you see such a beautiful old bar you would expect the rest of the place to be just as interesting, but the walls were barren. There was only one interesting display cabinet and it was all the way at the back of the bar. It was a real let down. The place really needed more light and decorations. It is obviously not trying to impress the tourists, even though it sits on the main drag of Tombstone. People come there to see an old west theme, and unfortunately Big Nose Kate's across the street does a much better job of creating an old west atmosphere. The Crystal Palace has tremendous potential if someone would just put a little thought into dressing up the place.

Went to this place the minute we arrived in Tombstone. It was about 7:30pm and there were maybe 10 other people in the place. The waitress was nice, but rushed us the whole meal. Never asked if we wanted more drinks and even kept taking the check from us after we told her we still hadn't signed the receipt and she told us to "chop chop". I had the burger which was actually really good. My husband had the rib eye and he said it was disgusting. Luckily the next day we spent around Tombstone made up for the bad service we had the night before.
