This is a great little museum close to downtown Tempe. The last time I went there was no admission fee (I don't think they've ever charged a fee). Beautiful exhibits, an excellent staff, user friendly, and a great way to spend a few hours. Tempe Library is next door. Check it out!

We decided to learn more about the history of Tempe on a recent trip there so this museum was a good place to start. It is small but has plenty of exhibits to look at. Pretty much something for everyone.

Took my 2 year old grandson to this hidden gem. Exhibits focus on Tempe artifacts but plenty of gun stuff for children to interact with. Even out of state visitors would enjoy learning more about Tempe's history. Kids can sit on police motorcycle, old truck and arcade rocket.

Easy access, free parking, no entrance fee, next to Tempe public Library, kid friendly. Lots of great displays with photos, artifacts and lots of history. Eateries and shopping nearby. Museum accepts donations. Highly recommend.

This museum is very small but it amazes me what they do with their space. They have great exhibits about Tempe's history, a gallery which hosts local artworks, and amazing public programming including concerts and talks that are all free to the public. The staff here is really passionate and it shines through in their work. This museum is well... More

I enjoyed the roots music of Japan and Taiko drumming. Ken was an entertaining performer with song, instruments and humor.

Themed exhibits provide a brief look at history and development of Tempe. Information is presented well. Although the museum is small, personal attention from staff (especially Carol) was engaging and added much to our visit. We enjoyed the conversation and learning about Tempe, so spent almost 2 hours looking through everything.

Discovering this delightful museum after attending a class at the library next door was the frosting on the cake, so to speak. The staff go out of their way to showcase this chock-full-of-history museum. It's a great find for families as the kids will have plenty to keep them entertained. And adults can certainly enjoy the varied displays.

Free is good. This is a nice place to come and stay out of the heat of the day. Interesting info and they have a nice place for kids the participate in play and arts and crafts. The library is across from this building and they have a great selection of discounted books if you don't want to use your... More
