Highway US 191 goes through the Apache national Forest. It is a winding road with lots of turns and the driving is slow. It is very scenic with lots of great views and many beautiful wildflowers

We were just driving killing time before an appointment. It was so relaxing seeing the forest so well cared for after their very large fire several years back.

This is a twisty windy road, perfect for sports cars or bikes. The road was in great condition. I found one good scenic point.

We visited 4 lakes and fished our little hearts out! We went to Big Lake, Becker Lake, Lyman Lake, and Hulsey Lake

We spent a week there - traveling a lot of back roads going to places to fish and hike. Enjoyed finding, turkey, elk, deer out in the wild.

I was in the area on business and stopped here for a break. It is worth a stop if you are in the area.

I highly recommend hiking the Escudilla Nat'l Rec Trail. It is a 3.1 mile out and back trial. But first you have to drive 5 miles on a dirt road to the trail head. There are Pines, Aspens, wild flowers, and a beautiful vista/overlook about...More

Full of alpine views, trails and game the many lakes and campgrounds were spectacular. We sent hours viewing many different species of game while traveling throughout the park

Great little forest 1/2 hour outside of Springerville, nice little places to eat in Alpine. They have a couple of lakes and a camping area.
