We were excited to learn about a mammoth kill site nearby, so we went in search of more information. When we arrived at the site, it was a disappointment to find it was only a small monument marking the area. No actual trails or evidence...More

Pretty neat but basic. You need to know something before you come to appreiciate it. I thought the possible evidence in a layer of a large meteorite hit was of interest

Through the Sierra Vista Visitor's Center, I found a free tour of this site. There were people of all ages on the hike. Without the guides, it would have been a nice walk. The historic significance of the site was clear only with the guides'...More

Not a lot to see but still a historic site. It's best to read up on it before going so you fully understand its historic importance.

This may have been interesting at one time but all that is there now are a couple of plaques in a very small area -- less than a half block's worth. If you just like to get out in the fresh air and not do...More

The sign shown for this destination is in tatters, no where really to walk there because quickly see private property signs.

I was on a volunteer team cleaning trash from the riverbed near this site, or I never would have gone here. There is nothing on the fossils but the monument you can see in the photos. Even the ranger did not know where the bones...More
