We have lived in the Grayton area for many years. As with most locals, we were sick at heart when the original Red Bar was destroyed by fire. When there was a plan to rebuild, we were elated as the area needs a good place to eat and commune with friends and family. We recently visited for the first time since it reopened. If you didn't know the place had been rebuilt, you would still think you were in the original structure so kudos to the new construction. With this review, we want this place to regain it's good reputation. That being said, the management better get with it and do some training of the staff or this place is going to fail miserably. We were met at the host desk by a young female that was apparently a transplant from Los Angeles valley district. She was about as friendly and helpful as one of the sea cucumbers found on the nearby beach. Management, pay someone to come in as a customer before this type of person ruins your restaurant. Then we were seated. After a few minutes, our waitress came to take our order. We ordered a couple of glasses of wine. As we were waiting for the wine, our food was brought to the table (in less than 10 minutes). We had to retrieve silverware from a nearby table as the table cleaning crew didn't leave any on our table. Whatever happened to having an enjoyable dining experience? Our wine came out about 5 minutes later. We strongly recommend the owners or managers pay some customers and listen to their feedback. If you don't pay attention to this now, you are looking at a failed investment and that is a failure to the local Grayton community. We assume you want repeat customers. If you don't treat people like you value their presence, they won't ever come back again.

The last time that we were in SRB on the Emerald Coast, it was a week after this famous watering hole had a fire that destroyed the building. After being rebuilt and recently opening, we were able to visit it. We were welcomed by the red Ganesh on the entrance door and the Hindu and Buddhist symbolism inside. Based on what people have told me, the owners (who also own Louie Louie) have recreated what was originally on the spot with just a slightly larger footprint to accommodate larger crowds. The drinks are typical of a beach bar and the food likewise. However, it's the ambience that invites you in and envelopes you. It's just a great place to have a good time and we did.

This is the spot if you want to pretend like there is no pandemic. The good: there is outdoor seating, live music was great and you can hear it on the outside deck, the server was very kind. The bad: the food was so so, no masking or social distancing, people can smoke at the dinner tables on the deck. Definitely not the spot for people who want to respect basic safety measures during this time.

We visited Red bar for lunch, always a favorite when on 30A. The hostess had no mask on and acted like it was a joke to be wearing one. Our waiter wore one about half the time and the two workers I saw coming and going from the kitchen had no mask. Food was great but we will not be back until COVID is under control.

Service. I was so excited to visit because I’ve heard so many great things...we were told 1:05 minute wait and 2 hours still not a word. Thought we’d go into the bar for a drink...waited an hour and were treated so poorly and never greeted or served. Bar staff lost a pretty good tip as well as a great food bill for the night. Left very disappointed.
