We did Brins Mesa to Soldiers Pass and cut thru Cibola Pass. Amateur hikers. 3.25 hrs and 3 bottles of water later, we made it! Go early morning.

Favorite hike in Sedona = at sunset to beat crowds
Jun 2021 • Couples
We hiked this trail after the parking area closed and walked a mile from the school/park parking area. It was worth it as we were alone on the trail. Loved creating your own path in parts and it is beautiful at sunset. Really recommend finding the cave as it is amazing and there is a huge open area a little before the cave that is awesome for view/ dancing!

Beautiful hike
May 2021
This hike has a few options which is great. We opted to start at Soldier's pass parking (very limited parking so get there early if you want to start here) and took the Brin's Mesa loop back around. Not crowded and great views.

Favorite hike
Apr 2021
We parked at Jordan’s trial head (got there at 6:15 am!) and did cibola trail to Jordan trail to soldiers pass to brins Mesa. The total loop (with detours to see the cave as well as other areas) was 7.5 miles. It was moderate level. Some points of steep incline but definitely doable. This was our favorite loop. If you get to the trail head early you will get to seven sacred pools and the cave before anyone else is really on the trail. Definitely recommend

Great Hike
Apr 2021
We hiked Cibola Trail, to Jordan Trail, to Soldier Trail up to Soldier Pass, then hiked from there up and over Brin's Mesa. Great experience. Saw the Devil's Kitchen and the 7 Sacred Pools. The views from Brin's Mesa are incredible!

Don’t miss the cave!
Mar 2021 • Family
We arrived maybe 6:45am at the trailhead which is in a neighborhood. We started the line on the entrance side of the road to take a right turn in (not sure if that’s preferred but it made more sense). We counted 14 cars (which fills up the spaces available) by about 7:15-7:30am. The gate auto opens at 8am. A guy arrived at 8am and cut the line shoving his way into the entrance from the opposite way which angered everyone in the lot.
You find the sinkhole and the pools pretty quickly. The cave does not have a big sign. You come to a fork where you might wonder which way should I go. There is a very small sign that says CAVE which you have to look for. Then someone had carved CAVE on the tree there. Don’t miss it.
When you see a cave/arch, that’s not it. Go to the right. Climbing up you may wonder how will I get down, but you will. Saddle up on the rock and straddle to the top is honestly the best way to get into the cave lol. It’s an awesome view.

Beautiful
Mar 2021
We started at the Jordan TH; waited a few minutes for a parking spot on a late Monday morning. Our total loop was about 5.5 miles, and the various views the whole way were spectacular. It was nice to finish on the forested side of the loop, as we got quite warm along the way. There were 5 of us, differing hiking experience, but we all finished and were really glad we had tackled this hike.

Fun, moderate hike
Feb 2021
This is a fun trail that is moderate in difficulty. For the most part it is not strenuous, but as you get closer to the soldier pass cave it gets steeper and at some spots can be a rock scramble. The hardest part is finding a place to park. The parking lot at the trail head only holds 14 cars and parking on the road is prohibited. They really go out of their way to say your car will be towed. We had to park at the mall marking lot about 1.7 miles away and hoofed it to the trail head.

A must see!!
Feb 2021 • Couples
One of my favorite trails in Sedona!! You are surrounded by rock formations and go inside caves!! Note - There is limited parking at Solider Pass, so my husband and I parked at Jorden trailhead. We got lucky to take the last spot! We took the Cibola trial to Soldier Pass and then Brin Mesa back to the parking lot. It took us a little over 4 hours (we are beginner hikers). This is a moderate trail and will require a hit of a climb. It's totally worth it!! As others have mentioned, access to the caves are not on the designated trail.

Something to see along the whole journey
Jan 2021
Soldier's pass has many attributes along the trail to see. You will see a sinkhole, 7 sacred pools and a few caves at the end, plus you can see many other rock formations along the way. This was my favorite hike in Sedona.
