The trailhead is tucked in a neighborhood and we were in line at 7:40am for when the lot opens at 8. Only 14 spots so it fills quickly.
Fun hike that you can do a 7.4 loop, and if you take a cutoff, takes you up to some Caves that are super fun to play around in.
Because we headed out early, we had plenty of time to take photos without the place being a zoo. Wouldn’t recommend on a weekend.

We hiked this trail after the parking area closed and walked a mile from the school/park parking area. It was worth it as we were alone on the trail. Loved creating your own path in parts and it is beautiful at sunset. Really recommend finding the cave as it is amazing and there is a huge open area a little before the cave that is awesome for view/ dancing!

This would easily be a 5-star but the parking is terrible if not near impossible for such a popular parking spot. I think there were only enough spaces for like 12 vehicles. We did find parking up near a park about one mile away and walked back to the trailhead. Once we started hiking it was pretty amazing. There is a sink hole, seven pools and some caves that shouldn't be missed.

The 7 pools just seemed like dirty puddles. There are so many little trails that its hard to know which paths to take. A local gave the best advice about where to turn and how to climb up the hill. The look out is great. The bus to the trailhead runs about every 40 minutes. Overall, 7 pools underwhelming but 2 nice adjacent caves after a scramble up the hill.

This is a lovely, easy trail. The Seven Sacred Pools are really cool and provide incredible photo opps. Go early, parking is limited and the trail gets really busy by mid morning.

We started at the Jordan TH; waited a few minutes for a parking spot on a late Monday morning. Our total loop was about 5.5 miles, and the various views the whole way were spectacular. It was nice to finish on the forested side of the loop, as we got quite warm along the way. There were 5 of us, differing hiking experience, but we all finished and were really glad we had tackled this hike.

We hiked this beautiful loop today with 7 of us - all in our early 30s and I was 20 weeks pregnant. It was about 5.5 miles from the parking lot, but we did a couple shoot offs from the loop. It took us about 3.5 hours to complete including a 25 minute stop for a packed lunch with a scenic view. We had to park on the main road which was closer than other reviews lead on - only a half mile (all flat). I’ve completely a couple hikes since finding out I was pregnant and this by far was perfect for me - mainly easy with a couple inline challenges, but there was a lot of opportunity to capture a perfect photo from the sink hole to the natural pools to the amazing red rock around us! Just beautiful! Enjoy it

This was one of my favorite hikes, and much easier than Cathedral Rock! The views of the Red Rocks are simply amazing on this trail. We got there early and used the Sedona Shuttle (free) to get there. It's easy to get turned around out on the trail, particularly the further you get away from the trailhead, so be careful! As we were leaving, droves of people were showing up to hike. Glad we went early in the morning and pretty much had it to ourselves. I guess it all depends on whether or not you like crowds - I don't.

We hiked the main trail to the top then veered to the side to sit on the top of the little mesa up there. It took us about 3 hours, not including our walk from a pull-off parking area .9 mi down the road from the trailhead. We took it slowly and we also ventured off on our way back down to explore the cave that is off the trail up a hill. This off-trail portion is a difficult hike and climbing into the cave is challenging but worth it if you are up for it. The off-trail portion is relatively easy to find if you know to look for it and the paths up are well used and clear. Enjoy!

The parking area is very small. We arrived at 8 am and the parking lot was full. We were able to het a spot on our third try. There is a giant sinkhole that is very cool to see. It is much more shady on this trail and we could have had more layers. There are several pools of water. The surrounding views are amazing!

I don’t know that there are any tours per se. It’s a Straightforward hiking trail. It’s pretty heavily trafficked so you’d be able to easily do this on your own if you don’t have a group. I’d recommend checking out the trail details and reviews on AllTrails as well. The only difficult part is getting there early enough to ensure parking is available, otherwise you’ll be walking quite a distance up the road.

In our opinion, plan for 1 1/2 to 2 hours unless you have the DNA of a high-hoofing mountain goat and the stamina of a camel (most mortals need to sit and wait until their pulse rates recover). During our last outing up in the Sedona landscape on this route, we needed to provide water for 2 dogs and 3 people (we pack enough water to hydrate the Donner Party) ....
It's not that it is too terribly hot or difficult a hike, but there is enough of a terrain difference and changes in altitude to make this not your usual walk in the park. And, besides, you will want to stop and admire the views, marvel at the wonders of nature, and take way too many pictures.
Pack a little package of nuts to nibble on, as well as adequate amounts of water to drink (nothing is available along the trail so be prepared). Wear sunscreen and a sun hat (listen to mom!) and good sturdy shoes. Your body will thank you later.
Sedona is a true gift, as you are out walking, there will be so many other trails to take everywhere. Almost every road is a trail head and the adventures just keep on coming! I envy you, enjoy the experience!
