Our midsize car did fine getting there. It is only about 6 or 7 miles from western Sedona, however it took about half hour due to gravel forest service roads. MUST make reservations! Took a while to get through, just keep trying. Best to call...More

Loved this hike and tour!! Scenery was beautiful....the cliff dwellings were SO interesting and the pictographs were amazing to think they were thousands of years old. We received two different lectures, one from Tom and one from Paul and they were both excellent, interesting and...More

Very easy to get to from Sedona though the last bit is on a dirt road. Staffed by very knowledgable volunteers. Interesting modern history at the site, as well as the old.

If you've read the other reviews, you know the road is rough getting to the Palatki Heritage Site. Go slow and follow the signs carefully or you could find yourself in trouble on a road that is nearly impassable. This is one of the few...More

Do not miss this visit while in Sedona. Better to go with local day-tour companies (we took Pink Jeep) because the roads are rough and a driver-guide will take you right to the site and provide you with all the explanations. The site is not...More

The drive out to the ruins is on a dirt road, so 4 Wheel Drive is recommended. There are signs on the way out telling you to call the visitor center to visit. Reservations are recommended. The site is very well preserved and very interesting....More

This is not Disneyland and not easy to get to, but worth the trip. Driving there means covering the last 3 miles on unpaved fire road. Appointments are needed as the parking area is small and the trails can only take small groups. The trails...More

We wanted to see some of the ruins we had read about. We researched ruins that were not too far away from Sedona. The Palatki Ruins were historical, awe inspiring and a gift. We drove five or so miles down the highway and turned off...More

There was no charge, but if you leave a donation it stays with Palatki and is used gratefully. Many of the docents are volunteers.
