About
Sedona Wine Adventures tours are private, personal, everything-included outings to scenic winery locations throughout AZ’s magnificent Verde Valley. We take guests door-to-door from their resorts to select tasting rooms, with itineraries tailored to personal wine preferences. All tasting room fees, lunch, extra pours and extra glasses along the way are included – providing a more in-depth and “plentiful” tasting experience compared to larger drop-off group tours. Whether our guests are new to wine tasting or experienced connoisseurs, we offer an informed, engaging and FUN introduction to our state’s fine wines and great winemakers.

Our tour was absolutely perfect! Jake was our guide and he walked that delicate line between being a wine cognoscenti and a host quite well. He definitely knew his stuff and has visited most of the wineries in the state yet understood that folks want to have fun. He was very informative and also quite jovial and lighthearted. We enjoyed our luncheon at Merkin Osteria, tastings there as well as a great wine boutique in Jerome and Page Springs Cellars. There was never any concern for the cost of a tasting or a meal, just a desire for the guests to enjoy their time.
If you have not dived into AZ wine, you are missing some well crafted, unique wines. Jake is happy to introduce you to the region and explain the varietals as well as the perspective of each of the winemakers.
This is a not to be missed tour for folks interested in food and wine while staying in Sedona.

We did the wine tour for my wife’s birthday while we were visiting Sedona. We went to four different locations in the surrounding cities and had an absolute blast. Fantastic communication from the beginning where I asked numerous questions prior to booking. George was our tour guide and was amazing. He knew more than I could ever remember about the local wines and history. The tour day will end up as the best part of our entire trip to Arizona. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to be immersed in local wine culture and history.

If you’re looking for a tour in Sedona don’t hesitate to book! George, the owners father, was an amazing local guide. (Btw, Jake, a new guide along for the ride, had some great stories as well) Based in Jerome, George went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing day. His knowledge of the region, history, and of course the wine was truly first rate. While I know I paid for it, I especially appreciated the fact I didn’t have to open my wallet while we were on tour. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again if I’m in Sedona in the future.

Nice experience on a beautiful day. We had Jake for our driver/friend for the day, he's absolutely awesome. He has a warm, inviting, infectious spirit and we really enjoyed him; it truly felt like we spent the day with a friend. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited. He made us feel like the day was ours. Very fun day.

This was a perfect day time adventure. Ideal weather. Keith, tour guide, was fun and polite and told great stories. Too bad some wineries were out of stock and not selling ! But every place we went had such excellent staff , and wine too. THis is a must for out of towners.

We were looking forward to this wine tour...it was one of three tours that we had planned for our 6 days in Sedona. We also had a luxury train ride to the Grand Canyon and one of the ubiquitous jeep tours planned. We thought this would be fun (but secretly did not think this would end up being our favorite experience), but were we ever wrong!!! Jeff picked us up at our inn at 1pm to start our tour, and our day went from nice to WOW!!! Jeff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable but as the day went on we were completely blown away! Our first stop was in Clarkdale at the 48 wine cooperative (the only one in the State). When we arrived, Jesse was sitting outside and we almost felt like he wasn't too happy to see Jeff or us...again, very wrong!!! We were the only 3 people in the tasting room, which is in an old bank that has been converted. Jeff came in and got us set up and started, he had tasting notes and materials with him and that's when our day really took a turn for the better. Jeff and Jesse obviously had a good rapport and Jesse proved to be an engaging, friendly and knowledgeable wine guy! The whole tasting ended up taking well over an hour. The food pairings that Jesse put together for us were perfect! And the wine and stories were great! By the end of the tasting it was like sitting with friends talking about wine and the history of the area. The conversation was easy and informative and we absolutely loved hearing the stories about the wine culture in AZ, the bank robbery and the stopwatch that saved a man's life on that fateful day! I ended up forgetting my coat at this tasting room and by the time we reached our second stop Jesse had already called ahead to let Jeff know that he found the jacket and was holding on to it for us. And for those of you who are fans of MJK (or Tool, or APC, or Puscifer) there was plenty of talk about his contributions to AZ wine, winemaking and wine culture. Our second stops were in the mountainside town of Jerome. Jeff, our guide, has actually lived here for a large part of his life, so he was showing off his hometown (of 500 people). This was where Jeff really shined, and our wine tour became a history, culture and wine tour! Jeff took us to the copper mines that had made Jerome a booming mining town in the past. He showed us all kinds of interesting sights in the area, drove us around the town and pointed out interesting points of interest. He showed us the furniture shop of a local celebrity who has a show coming up on HGTV with Ellen DeGeneres. He showed us the saloons and former houses of ill-repute, the former mental hospital-now a hotel. We got so much more than a wine tour. Then we hit the tasting rooms...Caduceus (Maynard's tasting room in Jerome)-which was a highlight of my day. Then 433 which has an all glass wall overlooking the valley, offering breath taking views. It was here that we met Sarah, our host, who was a local and just added to the experience. She was fun, friendly and just a sweetheart. And then there was Jeff, obviously at home and in his element. He introduced us around to local shop owners like we were friends visiting from out of town. The whole experience was just phenomenal! Jerome is a must see and one of the best times we've had. Jeff picked the wine tasting selections based on our preferences. He was dead on! Just incredible knowledge and insight. Our final stop was at Page Spring Cellars, by this point we were 5 hours into our 4 hour scheduled tour. Page Spring didn't disappoint either, again great selections, great conversation and great information! I know this review is getting long, but it still doesn't convey how impressed and pleased we were with Jeff. He made an incredible impression. His hospitality and personality were amazing. Our 6.5 hour tour with Jeff was a surprise and highlight of our time in Sedona. And those of you who enjoy wine like we do, and who might think that the only good wine in our Country comes from California are in for a big surprise. Arizona is the next California...thanks to Maynard James Keenan, Eric Glomski and all the wine makers in AZ who are producing very good juice in Arizona. And with advocates like Jeff showing travelers to this area what is being produced, with knowledge, passion and outstanding hospitality, this trend is going to sweep the Country in a few short years. If you are in the Sedona area and love wine, you have to call Jeff!!!! This is one of the top "don't-miss" experiences in Sedona. 5 stars does not give Jeff the credit he deserves. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC experience!
Oh and as an end note...we were in Sedona celebrating my wife's 40th birthday, two days after our tour with Jeff, on her actual birthday, one of the first texts we received was from Jeff, wishing her a happy birthday! Hospitality to the ultimate degree.
Thank you Jeff! Our experience was amazing!!!!

My wife and I took a Sedona Wine Adventures wine tour during our recent visit to Sedona. It was a unique and wonderful way to spend a day, and our host Teri was awesome!
Teri and her husband Jeff run Sedona Wine Adventures and all the tours (they recently hired a third person who’s in training). They offer 3 different tours; the tours are private so they’ll customize the itinerary to suit you. The tours are not inexpensive, but considering what you get they’re well worth the price.
We were originally planning to visit Sedona last summer, and I contacted Sedona Wine Adventures via e-mail before that trip to get information and make reservations. Teri was very responsive to my questions, and when I pointed out a couple of problems with their web site, she was very appreciative and quick to resolve them (she promised me a bottle of wine to thank me for reporting the web site issues). We had to postpone our trip until late April, but were looking forward to finally doing the wine tour and were not disappointed.
We did a modified version of the Vintage Tour. Teri picked us up at our hotel at 11:00 on a Monday — she suggested doing a weekday tour because weekends are very busy at the wineries. Our first stop was Paige Springs Cellars in Cornville; there we tasted flights of mostly reds, and then sat outside by the creek and enjoyed glasses of wine (there was a bald eagle’s nest nearby, and I think we saw the eagle). Next it was off to Caduceus Cellars in Jerome; Teri lives in Jerome so she was able to give us a narrated tour on our way to the winery. After tasting some wines at Caduceus, Teri gave us about 90 minutes to grab lunch and explore Jerome (we ate at the Haunted Hamburger, which was good but nothing special — see my review there if you’re interested). Our final two stops were in Clarkdale, first at the Chateau Tumbleweed, and then the Four Eight Wineworks. At Four Eight we got to enjoy an additional glass of wine after trying the flights, and Teri gave us the bottle she promised us last summer for helping out with the web site (a very nice bottle of Kindred 2013).
There were several things we really liked about the tour (and nothing we didn’t like). First, Teri is very personable and has a good relationship with the people at the different wineries, so there was a lot of discussion and interaction during the tastings. Second, all of the people we dealt with at the wineries were very friendly and engaging. Third, although each winery offers standard flights, Teri customized each flight for us and we generally got more wine than we would have with the standard flights (including the extra glasses of wine at Paige Springs Cellars and Four Eight Wineworks). Finally, there was never any pressure to buy wine from the wineries.
I can’t recommend Sedona Wine Adventures highly enough. It was a great experience, and one we wouldn’t hesitate to repeat when we return to Sedona. This was by far our favorite experience during our visit.

My family and I recently spent Canadian Thanksgiving in Sedona, AZ and decided to enjoy the holiday on a wine tour for the day. Jeff was the BEST! This is one talented, thoughtful and most of all FUN man! This was our first full day on vacation and what a start to the trip! We didn't stop talking about it for the rest of the trip, including enjoying our wonderful wines we purchased through out the day. This is not to be missed if you love wine and culture and want a unique way of exploring and learning about Sedona and the surrounding areas... especially Jerome! Can't recommend more! :)

This tour was amazing! Jeff, our host, was knowledgeable, fun and very accomodating to our pace and interests. We toured several vineyards/wineries and had a blast in Jerome, too. Definitely a worthwhile adventure for us! Thanks for our excellent day!

My Grandma and Grandpa gifted us this wine tour for our honeymoon and it was by far the best experience we had while in Sedona! Terri and her husband were wonderful, fun and very knowledgeable with all the wines. My husband and I were worried during the drive it would be an awkward drive of silence, but it was not! They were both so nice! We had another couple with us during the tour who were just as fun and nice! Our first stop was at a wine room in Clarkdale, AZ where a historic bank robbery took place. While we were tasting out wines were were able to watch the town reenact the robbery. It was so rad to see. We then went up to Jerome and not only were we able to try wines, but we even got to walk around and check out the cool shops, which was fantastic. I was worried we would be on a tight schedule and have to hurry at each location. From there, we went down to a wonderful winery in Page Springs, AZ. When we got to Page Springs Cellars, we were able to eat some yummy food and taste wines. My husband actually had a great time and really got into the "wine wheel" which we still use at home. We were not wine connoisseurs before this tour, but because of Teri and her husbands love for wine, we are now really into it. I would recommend this wine tour to anyone, even if they aren't into the whole wine thing. The experience is great and we will be back to do it again!

Thank you for the wonderful trip adviser review. We really enjoyed meeting you and hope you will join us again sometime in the future to sample some of the other wineries in our area
Cheers

No tour is the same as we do visit different tasting rooms and wineries based on the likes and dislikes of our guests. Some of our favorites are Chateau Tumbleweed, Pilsbury, Merkin Tasting Room and Osteria, Page Springs, and Vino Zona (though there are certainly others in the area we frequent often as well).
