I gifted my 16 year old son a half day with Sedona Fly Fishing Adventures. He spent a half day with Victor and had a wonderful time. Victor took the time to teach him skills and techniques that he will build on for a lifetime. I did not go along because I wanted my son to have a one on one guide, but I am looking forward to learning to fly fish too, and I will e booking with Sedona Fly Fishing Adventures.
An experience with Sedona Fly Fishing Adventures is money well spent and an investment in future fishing enjoyment.

Brian was a fantastic guide. First time fly fishing and was casting like an experienced stream fisherman in the first hour. I highly recommend Sedona Fly Fishing Adventures and booking a solo guided trip for your first time. I am hooked on fly fishing and look forward to getting out again soon.

Victor was awesome! My boyfriend booked a half day trip for us and neither of us had really fly fished before. Victor taught us SO much and told us awesome stories along the way. Victor gave great instructions and tips. He made it very easy to learn and made sure we understood exactly what we were doing and why. As someone who does not fish often (this was my boyfriend's idea), I was very happy to discover the patience Victor had. I had gotten my line tangled a few times and he easily sat back, got the tangle out and told a story while we waited. I also loved the flow of the day - Victor gave us a run down, we practiced and then we got time on our own to show off what we had learned.
We had such an amazing time and can't wait to book a full day the next time we visit Sedona.

The overall feeling of the trip we had was disappointment. My wife and I were split up most of the day and neither of us caught any fish. Granted, it was both our first time fly-fishing for trout (her first time fly-fishing ever) but I felt our guide could have put forth a little more effort to make the experience come full circle. I do have to say that Oak Creek is absolutely breathtaking, so that's a plus.

Hey Dan.
I recall you having a fish on and got another strike from the same spot on our trip. I spent time with your wife at the end to make sure that she had a couple strikes and was able to see that. The last one even bent her rod.
You talked about tournament bass fishing at home and we even laughed a couple of times about how completely different fly fishing moving water is. There's a bit more going on here. You mentioned my effort, again, I can't fish for someone and I can't set the hook for you but I can certainly offer the knowledge, the gear and supply the water.
As far as having you separated most of the trip.. Oak Creek is a small, crystal clear body of water so there is not enough room in most of these holes to have clients fishing side by side the entire trip. So I split you up the last 40-45 minutes of our 4 hour half day trip. For most clients, that little bit of separation is a chance for them enjoy the solitude of the creek by themselves.
Sorry you were disappointed about not getting your fish to the net. Fly fishing is practice and patience.
Hope you enjoyed your honeymoon...
Victor

1/2 day w Victor & Brian. Brian took our friends (parents + teen) and Victor took myself, husband and a friend. All new to fishing. 15 min hike down to serene river area w beach one side and canyon wall opposite. He gave us great tutorials and then we practiced feeling and casting. Last hour, he hiked us to separate fishing holes so we could practice in a more challenging stream current with low hanging trees, boulders in the stream, etc. They supplied everything you need- neoprene socks, waterproof hiking boots, and equipment. Nice for novices who don’t know what to wear or bring. Victor is a great conversationalist who wants you to love fishing as much as he does. He is easily able to cater to all levels and recognizes when he can “step you up”, or add more tricks and teaching to advance your knowledge and skills. Would definitely rebook if coming back! Scenery alone worth it, but I’m thrilled about a new hobby now!

Brian Mowers was a great guide for one first time fly fisher and another inexperienced one. Great spots to fish, learned a lot and caught a few as well. Would highly recommend

This was one of our favorite activities of our trip to Sedona. Brian was an excellent guide, and the views were gorgeous. I was almost seven months pregnant at the time of the excursion and was nervous about the hiking portions in between fishing spots. Brian was extremely nice and accommodating, and I highly recommend anyone add this to their trip itinerary in Sedona!!

Victor was an excellent fishing guide for my friend and I. We were both new to Arizona trout fishing and he immediately put us on trout in our first pool. Gila and Rainbows galore. We caught many fish and learned new techniques and derived understanding of the region from Victor’s expertise and experience. We then moved to a second pool and I was able to land a brown along a beautiful red rock canyon thanks to Victor who was splitting his time between two of us. All in all, you won’t find a better experience with these guys and it is well worth the time and money to get out on beautiful water with folks who know the creek and how to show you the best of Sedona Fly Fishing! Thanks Victor!

Awesome day on the water. We had two guides for the four of us. Victor and Josh did an excellent job! Two fishers went with Josh and they never fly fished before and Josh put them on fish. Needles to say they are hooked. My wife and I went went with Victor and we had a beautiful trail hike to where we fished. Victor did an excellent job sharing his knowledge and assisting my wife who as only fly fished a few times. We will definitely use Sedona Fly Fishing on our next trip back to Sedona.

Victor and Brian fished with my wife and I and another couple for a half day. Starting at 9am with wives is a huge plus. The meeting spot was as obvious as they said it would be on the phone, the drive was short and pretty to a local park. The provided gear was delightful, good quality boots, waders, and easy to cast 5wts. Another short, pretty walk to the fishing grounds and we were on a ledge overlooking a beautiful pool with plenty of nice rainbows in it. Victor and Brian took great care in making sure everyone could get their flies to the fish, eventually ensuring we all caught fish. My wife caught her first trout on a dry, and I caught fish on a streamer, dry, and dry drop which included both flies being eaten by a nice native brown. Both Victor and Brian knew their stuff, put us on fish, and made sure we could figure out how to catch them, which is a steep learning curve coming from the salt. Very successful half day including a mayfly hatch which set off the top water action. The only complaint at the end of the day was that we thought we there would be more wading. I am not sure the group skillset was there for some of the more technical fishing that required wading and, given that it was a half day and the fish were constantly biting and enjoying a hatch in the kiddie pool, I can see making the decision to stay in one spot. My wife and I did trek upstream a bit, we both got hung up in trees and spooked some big fish, but did eventually catch a nice native brown. This was all in a half day. I was super impressed with the operation and the potential for a future visit with more time.
