This year we didn't take a walk here because of limitations with our guests but other years have found it to be a charming place, with trails of varying degrees of difficulty and lovely views.

We'd been to Little Horse, and Bell Rock, and Jack's Canyon, and the Airport, and Holy Cross Chapel. We loved this place best and referred other visitors there. The hikes are plentiful and interesting. The views are wonderful, and you can go as long or as short as you wish.

Well don't try this road in your own vehicle unless it is built for a rough ride. We did it in a jeep (not the pink jeep tours) and you get bounced around quite a bit, - so hand on.....but well worth the ride.

When you drive up Schnelby road there is an amazing Sedona Creative Centres with some of the Best Female Bronze Sculptures! As you go up the road further you can see the Snoopy Rock, Camel Rock, Teapot Rock, Mushroom Rock! So much fun!

We traveled many dirt/unmaintained roads during our visit to Sedona, so we thought we'd try this one. It was rough, rocky, rutted and required good observation and planning of the route to take for a VERY slow ride. Beautiful vistas but we gave up after turning the big corner. We were driving our own Jeep Cherokee and it didn't seem... More

Went on this road for the second time. Don't remember the first time being so rough. Totally worth it though.Quiet, breathtaking views you won't see from town. Caution--we had a 4 WD rental SUV and we didn't make it to the Vista this time. Wouldn't recommend in a regular car.

As a local, we made the mistake of taking our 4W up this raod, and regreted it. The PERFECT way to see the views and enjoy the dive is to take a jeep tour that is equiped for the' bouldering' this raod requires. Stunning vistas, and at the top check out the rare Aligator Juniper Trees.

My sister & I took a jeep tour after a generous rainfall the night before. The road wasn't dusty, but the rocks & ruts were more pronounced. Our guide advised us to go with the pronounced twists, turns, & bumps; Stay Relaxed he shouted! Well worth the drive, our guide was knowledgeable, good sense of humor. Unbelievable formations & colors.... More

The Forest Service in its policy of keeping the wilderness off limits to ordinary people no longer maintains this road having basically assigned it to the commercial Jeep tour companies. Even high clearance vehicles will face some challenges.
