I am not a fan of heights, but was persuaded by my Flagstaff son to ride the Schnebly Hill Road. Views are beautiful, road is pretty rugged. It's not for sissies like me, but I am glad I did it, once!

An easy way to view some of the beautiful rock formations is to drive yourself down Schnebly Hill Road, take some of the residential streets and get up close and personal with the formations. You get a much better view than off the main highway...More

We drove part way up and turned around because of the rough road conditions. I could have kept going, but the wife and daughter were having none of it after a short distance. Oh well!

Our tour guide took us here and it was crazy bumpy. Fun for the kids! I liked our tour because our guide took us on some hikes on the side of the roads, along a creek and he stopped at any point we wanted to...More

Don't try this at home. :) The jeep tour up Schnebly was a highlight of our Sedona trip. The road is definitely 4x4 fun, with outstanding views of the valley and many of the famous red rock formations.

My group (4 vehicles) and I took this road from Sedona, with the intention of camping beyond the vista point. Referencing an Arizona offroad trail book from 2001, I expected a smooth, maintained dirt road. Not the case! This was, by far, the most unenjoyable...More

Took a tour with Pink Jeep Tour and went to the top of Schnebly Hill Mountain and was well worth it, only way to see this is from the top.

The bringing of this trail is horrible, the as perfectly described in another post the rocks are toaster sized rocks, for about 4.5 miles. VERY VERY bumpy ride. My Jeep Wrangle is upgraded and did just fine, but at some points contemplated on turning back,...More

We rented a 1000cc Polaris RZR from Sedona OFF-ROAD center. Had the best day! The guys were relaxed about our start time. The view at the top of Schnebly Hill Road is a must see, but not meant for a SUV.

It is not that long a trip, probably do it in less than an hour, so go before you go!!!! Of course if you are going on a tour, they should be able to answer it for sure, but we have never seen any and we have taken it... More
