We took the little horse trail to the Chapel trail and back, then to Chicken point. The total of this hike was 4.8 miles round trip but a great hike. It is fairly easy and the views from the Chapel and the top of Chicken point are breathtaking.

A good moderate hike up to Chicken Point. But not a secluded spot, mostly due to the Jeep tours that come up the back way from Broken Arrow. We went beyond Chicken Rock to a nice view of Submarine Rock, then turned around. So a total of almost 5 miles. A perfect length to justify having a beer at Oak... More

There is nothing to dislike about this trail. It goes about 2 miles in and then back so total of about 4 miles RT. Most of the beginning is a fairly level to slight incline so it is not difficult. You can see Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte, Cathedral Rock and lots of other red rock formations which I am sure... More

This is a moderate hike that offers plenty of interest. We are 2 families with kids as young as 11. The hike has moderate elevation gains with several rock "stair" locations to climb (for those gauging difficulty). Some spots are open, some spots are shaded by trees, some spots offer little streams and awesome places to sit, and all spots... More

If you invest the time and energy, you will wind up at Chicken Point where you will have some of the best views at Red Rock State Park. I was surprised to see 4x4 vehicles that came up from Broken Arrow, but I had the enjoyment and satisfaction of making it there on my own two feet and with my... More

My husband and I did this hike on the recommendation of someone at The Hike House in Sedona. It was a perfect trail for us. My husband has bad feet and can't walk long distances. This one was ~1.5 miles out, and another ~1.5 back. Not too steep, but beautiful vistas from beginning to end.

I love this approximately 3 mile R/T Trail because it takes you to 3 really cool spots and they are (1) Chicken Point perch with its Fred Flintstone Sofa & to die for views, (2) impressive distant view of Cathedral Rock from wide flat rocks on right side 3/4 of the way up to Chicken Point and short 1/2 mile... Best views in all directions. Many trails tie into Little Horse. See Bell Rock and Cathedral from a distance. Beautiful.
