Our tour with Wine Tours of Sedona was an amazing experience! When I booked, I was asked about what we were looking for said we wanted beautiful views, good wine, and delicious food... check, check, check!! Jim, our guide, picked the perfect wineries, tasting rooms, and restaurant for us! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the wine, chocolate and so much more! We learned a lot about Sedona too- which was especially lucky since we did the tour early in our time there! Jim was personable and friendly- greeted by staff and patrons everywhere we went... He was flexible and entertaining, the tour really felt personalized to what we like... I cant say enough good things! Jim really made our time in AZ really special! I will be back and recommend to anyone heading to AZ!!

We took our two young daughters on the chocolate tasting version of the tour. Jim was really insightful and accommodating to our needs. Our daughters had lots of fun and learned a lot in the process.

Jim took photos for us, gave us the history and backstories behind the places we visited. He was flexible and allowed us to make itinerary changes mid trip. I highly recommend the Wine Tours of Sedona (even if you don't do wine - the chocolate was amazing too).

Absolutely loved this tour. From start to finish our tour guide Clay adapted our tour to what we liked and answered all the questions we had. If he did not know them he would find out. Customer services was over the top and amazing. We were able to stop at local shops and eateries that paired well with the wines we were trying. You tell them what you want out of the tour and they make it happen

My wife booked what we thought was going to be our first ever wine tasting experience for my birthday. Unfortunately, it went a little sideways. We are in our 30s, and not big partyers, but were greeting to blaring techno music. This was changed when we asked.

When asked what we were looking for on the tour, we said we wanted to see some outdoor vineyards, learn more about different types of wine, and have a nice dinner. We had two unplanned stops on the way, which burnt time. We were then informed that the outdoor wineries all close at 6pm (our tour was set up from 4pm-9pm), and that we would only have time to visit one. We went to DA Ranch (which is beautiful and we highly recommend). However, our guide checked, and informed us we got there too late, and there were no more wine tastings. He told us just to buy whatever type of wine we think we like. My wife and I both said we would definitely go back to DA Ranch on our own whenever we come to Sedona again.

When DA Ranch closed at 6pm after 2 glasses of wine on our own, we went to Old Town Cottonwood to a tasting room. We were told we still had 3 tasting left, and could pound through wine to get it all done before dinner, which wasn't at all our goal of the trip.

We also quickly realized that despite adding a $110 dinner package to our already $500 tour for two, there were no actual dinner plans. Our guide asked us if we liked pizza, and grabbed us a table at the local pizza place. When the table was available, he told us we needed to leave the wine tasting, which we were only halfway through. We drank the rest of the wine quick, only to find out the pizza place had given away our table for taking too long. We ended up getting taken care of by the restaurant manager, and getting seated quickly. What my wife and I thought was going to be a nice ($110) romantic dinner ended up being three of us at a pizza joint (with good pizza to be fair).

Overall, we spend around $660 for 5 hours, 1 very nice outdoor winery with no tastings at the time, 1 rushed indoor tasting, and a local pizza spot. We added up all the costs, which were about $160 before tips. We felt awful, but we did not tip at the end of the tour, as the company already made $500 off of us, for a very lackluster "winetasting" experience.

If you are looking to learn about wine, sit, have a relaxing, romantic experience, this is definitely not for you. I think this is much more of a wild, get drunk drinking wine, experience.

Our guide was late in picking us up at our accommodations and no pre-event text or updates were provided. First stop was a chocolate shop, where we had to pay for chocolates ourselves. Then two winery stops with ok wine. Guide is obviously an entrepreneur, trying to sell us $$$ wine pack to store wine in. Wish he would have spent more time telling us about the area, the wineries we were visiting and the wines themselves. Basically he was a chaffeur and not good guide. Could have done on own and saved the tour price.

Thanks for your feedback. As you can see based on our other reviews, we strive to make sure you have an excellent experience. We are disappointed you only had a mediocre experience. So you know, we have let go of the tour guide you mentioned, and since then, we have hired other tour guides that continuously get 5-star reviews on Google and other platforms as we are always dedicated to providing you a five-star experience! We look forward to another opportunity to give you a positive experience!

Jim, by far, gives the best wine tours. Picked us up on time, took us to get chocolates to enjoy with the various wines, then proceeded to take us to four different wine tasting locations. Jim is well versed in all the different types of Arizona wines and can expertly compare them to wines from other regions. Jim was totally flexible in executing our tour to fit what we wanted in the moment. Also, Jim provided factoids about the various sites along the tour. Most places in Arizona do not ship wine to Texas but Jim had a solution - he had a sturdy cooler available for purchase so that we could take back wine on our flight back to Texas. As a result, we now have several bottles of Arizona wine to enjoy at home. We will definitely go back and take another tour from Jim so that we can experience more of the Arizona wine country.

The vine yards only wanted to sell you $8.00 one ounce samples of their expensive wines. They did not tell you about their vine yard, the types of grapes they grew or the wines they made. We went to 4 vine yards and not one person from that vine yard spoke to the group. We paid $178.00 for taxi service. Terrible tour.

We signed up for the 3 hour Sedona Scenic Adventure Tour. In this tour, Jim takes you around Sedona in his tour vehicle. We signed up for this tour instead of one of those open jeep tours because 1. it was FREEZING in Sedona at this time, and also 2. because we had our dog with us. Jim's tour is dog friendly so he brought his dog along too. Jim was super friendly and knowledgable, and very passionate about Arizona. He is open in terms of scheduling his tour around what you want, so make sure you communicate and tell him exactly what you are looking for. So this tour specifically was us learning about Sedona from the car. We made a few stops: a chocolate shop, a place to buy Native goods, a panoramic viewpoint, and I asked to stop somewhere else which we did. I think it's my fault for not reading the description online closely...I was hoping to get out more than the stops we made, but I didn't communicate that during the tour. Looking back, I would have loved for him to take us on some hiking trail that locals know about. If you want a tour where you are getting out a lot and walking around, ask him if he can arrange that for you.

Our group came to Sedona for a bachelorette party in November, and the wine tour was a definite highlight of our trip! We had a lot of great wine, saw cool wineries and scenery and our guide Clay made it a lot of fun. It was so nice to enjoy the afternoon and not have to worry about driving or planning out the itinerary. We all loved it and would definitely do it again next time we’re in Sedona to try out some new spots, and go back to our favorite, DA Ranch!

We signed up last minute for a wine tour to Cottonwood since it was rainy and we didn’t want to hike another day. Our tour guide was Clay. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time, went to places with the type of wines we like and got us home safely. He really made sure all our needs were meant and was awesome!
