My family and I did the Outback Trail Jeep Tour with CK and it was fantastic. He made it fun, just a bit exciting, and educational. He was great at relating to the littles (4 and 6) as well as the adults and other riders well into the AARP set. Lots of fun and would highly recommend this tour group, especially as it is well organized, accommodating, and a local business in Sedona.

I'm not going to lie, as a Phoenix resident, my expectations for a touristy jeep tour were not all that high prior to booking the Vortex Experience. I had friends visiting from Kansas, so I thought it might be interesting to them as I was for sure not a tourist ;). How wrong I was. From the minute we left the check in point, to our arrival back two and half hours later, our guide Lea provided us with fascinating and inciteful information about not only the two vortex sites that we visited (Rachel's Noll and Amitabha Stupa), but also Sedona and how it came to be. She was extremely personable and fun, and kept us entertained the entire time. She knew fun facts about things we drove by on the way (like pointing out Madonna's house) and also knew the best views to take the best pictures (which she took for us herself). My friend who was visiting is very in to crystals, and meditation and metaphysics, but even if you aren't (like myself) you will still enjoy the tour and the education provided at each stop. I would highly recommend this tour as it really does represent what Sedona is all about and offers great views and scenery of the red rocks and insight in to Sedona's history.

Our Jeep ride with with John M. was great! We went out on a Monday night for a two hour ride with 4 adults and two teenagers and it was a great adventure. John was very knowledgeable about Sedona and was not afraid to tell you about the surrounding area so feel free to ask questions. Make sure to book your Jeep tour with Safari only! Oh, by the way, this was our second adventure with them too.

Here are a few tips. Arrive about 15 minutes early so you can get checked in and can leave on time. I highly recommend booking your ride in the late afternoon so you can see a Sedona sunset while on the ride. There are different trails they will take you on, so if you want rough and bouncing or “smooth” riding, make sure to tell them at your booking. You will get dusty and dirty, so wear appropriate clothing. They do provide bottled water but bring your own because it will be hot.

If you are worried about COVID 19, they wipe down all the needs after riding.

Please let me know if this was helpful.

We took our family (2 elderly and a a 2.5 year old toddler) on the Rim Run Supreme Tour at 8am today, and we are so happy we decided to do this with Arizona Safari Jeep Tour. They are the ONLY local and family owned and operated jeep tour in town, with the newest and baddest Gladiator Jeeps! Meaning, we left those small, pink jeeps in the dust and was able to travel 3-4x faster than them!

We were very lucky to have Joe as our guide today. He was very knowledgeable, thoughtful, and patient with our family as we had a span of 2 year old to 70+ year old! Please know that their tours are the only one I found that allowed 2 and up (others are 3 and up), but does require a car seat for the little one! They will provide booster seats for the older ones if they need it.

It was a 3 hour course up and into the canyons to the rim, and we were glad to have done the 8am tour. Right around 10am, temperatures started creeping into the high 80s, and on the way down could feel the heat intensifying.

We had several stops, got several cool shots, and were so glad we did this. Even my toddler had fun even though it was bumpy 90% of the time.

Let me be very clear, it is a very bumpy ride and not for you if you have any pre-existing conditions or have motion sickness! The road is riddled with rock, but you get used to it.

Thank you again, Joe! You were crucial in making this experience as pleasant as it was 🙌🏻

My sister and I did the 1.5 hr Archeology Hike through Native American ruins. Our guide was John and he was absolutely excellent! The hike itself was a few minute drive from their business location. Along the way, John pointed out landmarks and various mesas. The hike is on private land and this company is the only company that is allowed, which means that the ruins are protected and the tour is just us. The petroglyphs were amazing to see in person. There were several pit house ruins as well. All along the way, John pointed out signs of the natives that lived there - pottery pieces in the rocks, grinding stones, etc. He shared information about the environment and local plants. He also was a wealth of knowledge for other hikes to see in the area that we could do in the afternoon. He highly recommended the Hangover trail. We took his recommendation and it was absolutely majestic. We loved spending time with John and would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to do a nice hike while learning about the history of the area.

Lea was a terrific guide! I learned so much about the area from Lea, and she made sure everyone in our group was okay with the bumpy ride. This ride was a little rough, but well worth it once you get to the top. The Arizona Jeep Safari Tours also had newer Jeep Gladiators, which made the ride a little smoother :) Highly recommend the Rim Run Supreme tour.

My family of 5 (wife and I plus our 16, 18 and 20 year old sons) were only in Sedona for one day so despite the weather (rainy and 45 degrees) we wanted to get an opportunity to explore Sedona. We called AZ Safari Jeep Tours and they were extremely helpful, friendly, and informative about what it would be like to take one of their "open air" jeeps that day. The jeeps have a see-through plastic canopy hanging over the seats (which the rain did obscure) so you are protected from above but have open air on the sides. They also provided blankets and ponchos (we used the blankets, not the ponchos). We did have pretty hard rain at times but only got a bit wet, and the blankets helped a lot.
As for the tour itself, we did a 2 hour custom sunset tour and started at 4:30PM. Wyatt was our guide and he was fantastic. Very well informed and very funny as well! He made sure we saw all the key sights and formations and the weather did clear up at times, luckily close to sunset, so we had an opportunity to see a few spectacular overlook points.
Dress warmly if the weather is cool! We wished we'd had a few more layers but we saw all the main sights, got some great insights into Sedona and its history, and enjoyed ourselves despite the weather. Thanks to Wyatt for a great tour and the office staff for advising us well!

All I can say is: spectacular! We did the archeology tour with Cowboy Bob, a native of the area who grew up on an Indian reservation, was a western horse racer and still rounds up cattle on horseback. Needless to say he was a wonderful guide, We did a 1.5 mile hike to visit Indian ruins and a sacred hill top with hundreds of petroglyphs perhaps one thousand years old. The weather and vistas were amazing. The hike is nor for the faint hearted and sturdy hiking boots are a must. We only saw one western diamondback rattle snake but because of the unusually wet conditions didn't walk along Spring Creek because of the abundance of these venturous, though shy creatures. The company is locally owned and they do a thorough vetting of their guides to provide an amazing experience in this beautiful place

Our tour guide, John, was amazing. He answered any questions we had, from mountains, hiking, sightseeing to best area restaurants and local hangouts. Also, we would definitely recommend this particular company, Arizona Safari Sedona Jeep Tour, because it is the only locally owned jeep company in Sedona. Its important to me to know that my money is staying local. The particular tour we went on, Diamondback Gulch, was really great too, especially at sunset. It was definitely thrilling and was happy to see so many "oh sh*t" handles to choose from in the jeep! Worth the money especially if you dont have a lot of time in Sedona, want to see as much as possible, looking for some great pictures and want some great recommendations for the best experiences for the rest of your trip. Our jeep mates were great too. Always fun to meet new people as well! Ask for John as your guide, he also has some great Kodak moment areas, I posted one of them below! Enjoy Sedona!

My wife and I booked a Vortex tour today by Safari Jeep Tours in Sedona. Our host, Joe, was terrific. He quickly learned everyone's name and made us all feel very comfortable. The tour was extremely informative and Joe was the consumate host. He not only gave us the Vortex experience, he informed us about Sedona and all of its treasures. Safari Jeep Tours is a local jeep tour company and they really provide allot of attention to their guests. My wife and I always like to support the locals when we vacation. We highly recommend Safari Jeep Tours on you next trip to Sedona. You won't be dissappointed.
