What a delightful place to visit while in Sedona! We just had our first trip to Literate Lizard today. What an interesting, restful place to shop for your favorite reading material. They have a wide variety of choices including the most current fiction, non-fiction, children’s section and Sedona and vacinity historical books. You will also find interesting art works and great selection of cards and journals. Definitely a gem.

This recently opened, welcoming venue has an eclectic but well-curated mix of titles and helpful staff. . . fine place to spend an hour and find your next great read.

In the world of dwindling bricks ‘n’ mortar bookstores, the Literate Lizard was a welcome surprise on our recent vacation. It’s a smallish 1-story building with lots of sunlight and wide-open aisles with books displayed on various tables & bookshelves. Comfy chairs and benches are scattered around to encourage visitors to sit and read a bit. I also liked the fact that they had not just hard-to-find new titles, but they offered several affordable “gently used” bookshelves around the store. I liked the store so much, we came back for another visit and purchase.

Wonderful literary oasis in West Sedona. Great selection of books on the local area as well and new and used books over a variety of genres. Knowledgeable and friendly booksellers. Loved the lizard sculpture out front! Two of our children discovered this gem on the day the rest of us went hiking.

We stumbled across this gem of a bookstore when we were passing through Sedona. The owner, Eve, is a retired psychologist and author, who is passionate about books--which is evident from the wonderful selection she stocks. There's just a great vibe here. Plus she's a font of information about Sedona restaurants. Highly recommend.

This place has most of the top NYT books. I found just what I wanted and so did my husband! And it’s a small store with a living room reading area!

On our to-buy list was an excellent, upated hiking book for the umpteen trails for which Sedona is famous. This bookstore delivered! Even the newer "Adobe Jack" trail was in our new book.

There is no pressure to hurry along while making a selection. In fact, the bookstore makes it ever so inviting by providing chairs and sofas and outdoor seating areas that we "book perusers" took full advantage of.

The selection was exceptional, we also liked that there was a section for resale books at $5 a book and that the store also had a nook for young readers to get comfortble with a new book. In our opinion, this newcomer to Sedona is a welcome addition.
