We went on the Cathedral Rock hike in Sedona. JP our guide was very informative and communicative. He also cooked us a delicious veg chilli!! Such a memorable experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the hike!

My wife and I took a day hike on this trail which was a combination of a few trails. Guides always make or break the trip and Mikaela Ray was awesome. Informative, funny and a cool person to spend a few hours with. This hike was enjoyable and perfect for us, not too easy but not so hard we thought we were going to die. Various types of terrain and great views. Thoroughly enjoyed this and would highly recommend it to anyone. Overall hike was 8.5 ish miles and took us about 4.5 hours give or take including various stops for pics and lunch. …

Mikaela Ray, our guide is a joy who simply designed a great trip and pushed me to take on exciting challenges. We had a great experience. Wildland does a great job in taking care of you. They are a first class operation.

Desperate to get out of town for a hiking adventure in a beautiful location, but with no time to research anything, we booked with Wildland Trekking because it had such high recommendations and positive reviews. The 4-day Inn based Sedona Red Rocks hiking tour was perfect. The area is breathtakingly beautiful, but our guide, Beau De Mello, made it unforgettable. Our little group of my husband and I, plus Beau, experienced 2 relatively easy hikes, 2 challenging hikes, and fabulous conversations. We especially liked the Bear Mountain and north-side Wilson Mountain trail hikes - the views were spectacular. We initially thought there would be 4 other people joining the group, and were concerned the conversations would grow stale and awkward with only us and our guide, but that quickly became a nonissue. Beau is extremely knowledgeable about the area’s history, geology, and plant life.. He provided so much color and interesting commentary to our hikes. His passion and energy for life and knowledge truly made our experience amazing, plus he has a great sense of humor and tells great stories. Beau also guides for Wildland in Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon. We will definitely seek him out when we eventually head back to Sedona or book in one of those other beautiful locations. He usually guides overnight camp tours and we would feel very comfortable and confident with him as the lead on those types of tours as well. The incredible scenery of Sedona goes without saying. You can never go wrong spending time in this location. Our trip included staying in the lovely Briar Patch Inn. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were delicious in a cozy setting that made you not want to leave, and the lush canyon scenery was a nice retreat and so different from the desert red rock views of the day. The dinner locations were excellent, we ate very well, and it included a fun night of horseback riding and dinner at the family owned M Diamond Horse Ranch that we highly rate. We will definitely book with Wildland Trekking again. They did a fabulous job! (We also highly recommend the Hike House in Sedona for any hiking gear, clothing and other supplies needed. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and their giant packed monster cookies are to die for!). We will be back!…
