About
Have a taste of the old west at Sedona's Main Street. Along this lively street, you'll find cool art galleries, restaurants, cowboy shops, and mystics selling crystals and offering tarot card readings. When hunger strikes, have a bite at a cowboy restaurant. Eateries on both sides of the street offer great views—the Red Rocks on one side and Oak Creek Canyon on the other. Bars typically don’t stay open late, but you can still grab a cocktail and stay for the stunning sunset. Pop by Main Street for souvenirs on a tour of Sedona and the nearby red rocks. – Tripadvisor

- TimGinMNMaple Grove, Minnesota12 contributionsFun shops and restaurants - not “Old West”Old west? Not so much. Tourist’s heaven? yup. Good mix of souvenir shops, art shops/galleries and eating establishments, as well as great views of the surrounding scenery. Go early for best parking. Free lots, some 3 hrs and some are all day (farther away but still with a couple of blocks of the main drag.)Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 28, 2024
- royufuJapan2,113 contributionsThere are many souvenir shops lined upThis is literally the main street of Sedona, and as you would expect from a tourist town, there are many souvenir shops lined up. Since Sedona is well known as a spiritual spot, many of the souvenirs are power stones and art pieces related to vortexes. There are also many cafes and restaurants with nice atmosphere.Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 17, 2024

There are a lot of tour places, restaurants, gift shops, so spending time here is easy. Finding parking spot is difficultVisited May 2023Traveled soloWritten April 23, 2024

It’s a great little Main Street with lots of free parking (mostly just off the Main Street), tourist-related shopping, restaurants and hotels. It’s all set in a gorgeous backdrop of scenic mountains. Well worth a stop.Visited September 2024Traveled with friendsWritten September 21, 2024

One of the most beautiful places. Situated by the most beautiful rock formations. The drive to Sedona was worth the trip itself! Stunning is all I can say. The stores/shops etc are quite expensive so plan on droppings hundreds if not thousands if you go. We thoroughly enjoyed our day trip here. I would definitely go back but would spend a weekend or couple of days in a spa there.

We spent a week in Sedona exploring the area, we spent a day on main street buying trinkets to take home. Yes as others have said a lot of these items are over priced. My advise it don't buy what you want at the first shop you see. A lot of the stores sale the same items, price them before you buy. Been there done that! There are some unique items that Sedona Main Street has that are worth looking at. But we find we throw away a lot of them after a few years of sitting on the shelf. We focus on little things that bring memories back, stickers for mugs, fridge magnets etc.

Lots of art, souvenir, snack and food options to explore on foot in the beautiful surroundings of Sedona. It was nice to shop freely, all the stores are open now and masks are not required. There is an artistic metal road divider which only allows you to cross the street at designated areas, this means once you start around your committed. We enjoyed a couple of hours at this destination.

Went to do the trolley ride, no parking, my husband had given his phone to his mom as the trolley tickets are electronic, he finally found a parking space only to realize you can only pay on your phone, didn’t have time to come back before the trolley left so knew he would get a parking ticket probably, sure did, $60! For a parking ticket! That is a ridiculous price to pay for a parking ticket.

A visit to Sedona is not complete without a day or so on Main Street. Downtown Sedona is rich in art, great places to eat, a large amount of western shops etc. You will enjoy just walking around here, there are many places to arrange a tour of the red rocks here as well. A "don't Miss" thing to do.

Metered parking along the street that is convenient to plenty of shops and restaurants or free parking that is a bit further away but still in walking distance. Plenty of stores of all sorts!!! Found many stores to have fairly decent prices on their merchandise especially in a tourist trap area. I believe there is at least one store for everyone in your party if not more that will make you reach in to your pockets and want to purchase something to take home to remind you of being in AZ. Definitely worth taking a bit of time out of your day and stroll the sidewalks.

We stopped by downtown Sedona on Main Street after hiking in Coconino. If anyone likes candles, avoid Sedona Candle Magic unless you want to spend three hours waiting [personal experience]. Excellent shopping and dining possibilities, from higher-end stores to travel/ tourist gifts and numerous dining options. You can arrange for tours on Main Street as well. There is free parking available, but they are making changes to the traffic patterns that we experienced in January 2020. Lastly, there are spectacular views from most of Main Street!

I always go visit these places to buy my sovereigns. We were able to park for free down the way. There was lots of construction at the time which wasn't pleasant but whatever.
A lot of gimmick shops. I don't mind them I like to browse. We did stop and buy soaps, candy and a few things here and there. There are people begging on the streets, which is to be expected in these places.
I mentioned it in another review but will again. I am Navajo and my grandmother made jewelry amongst other things. It is important to buy directly from the artists. I had a hard time finding any here. I was able to do so on north 89 up by the diary queen. It is a shame to see the Native American gimmick but yet I had to travel out of the way to find the real native artists....

We visited on a tour and spent two hours of free time shopping and having lunch.
It's a new, clean, lovely townscape that reminds me of a theme park or an outlet mall.
It's entertaining with statues reminiscent of the Wild West era,
but it also feels a bit artificial, considering that it's selling spirituality.
I was hoping to shop here, but unfortunately, apart from spiritual accessories, decorations, fossils, and interior items,
I didn't find anything I was looking for, and contrary to my expectations, I ended up wasting time.

The Main Street area was a fun place to wander around for a few hours browsing in the shops and galleries. We arrived late in the afternoon, around 2, so parking wasn't too difficult to find. It is pretty touristy, but there's also the gorgeous views of the Red Rocks in the background to take in too!

I'm disabled, not in a wheelchair, but I can't do hiking or long walks, is there anything we can do besides hiking?
Written November 3, 2018
We did not do any hiking. You can rent or take jeep rides if you desire. We just walked up and down main street heading into shops. Some of the shops have very step stairs.

We have one day- which hotel is best to stay at if we wanted to get hiking and shopping done in one day? Is that possible? Thanks!
Written March 1, 2017
Sedona and the nearby Village of Oak Creek are both small so hiking and shopping can be done in one day. Beware, the scenery is so beautiful, you'll want more time no matter what you do! There are many, many hikes, with trails for every fitness level. A few of our favorites are Brins Mesa, Soldiers Pass and Bell Rock. If you have time, do a Jeep Tour (We like Pink Jeep) on Broken Arrow for some great 4-wheeling and spectacular views. The hotels will have free hiking trail maps, or you can google Sedona Hikes or see TripAdvisor things to do. Use TripAdvisor to find a hotel or B&B that fits your budget and you'll be fine getting to wherever you decide to go. We like L'Augerge de Sedona for a splurge and incredible customer service - hiking on property creekside, and a walk up the hill to Main Street for shopping and restaurants. Briar Patch Inn is a terrific Bed & Breakfast right on the creek. The Adobe Grand is spendy but super romantic. Don't miss the shopping and galleries at Tlaquepaque outdoor market - easy to find, but not on Main Street. Enchantment Resort is further away from Main Street but the views, hiking and spa are beautiful. Check out the Best Western Plus Inn of Sedona for a nice stay and a great value. Have a fantastic trip! The Sedona area is truly one of the most beautiful, jaw-dropping places on earth.

Go on a Pink Jeep tour, ask for Roger Johnson and go to Telaquepaque to see the high end Art stores. Walk the path to Bell Rock from the car park off 179 in the village of Oak Creek

Anywhere in Sedona has beautiful views and the town is small enough it does not really matter where you are located. Just pick something in your budget.
