Breathtaking in its red rock beauty, the Canyon is a spectacular 16-mile gorge with streams and waterfalls between sheer rock walls.

We went through Oak Creek Canyon on our way from Sedona to Monument Valley. The drive through the switchback was spectacular and the view from the top, looking back, was terrific. The change from the Red Rocks of Sedona to the pine clad peaks of...More

You must go to see the Oak Creek Canyon ... it runs along Sedona and some hotels are very close to it. Just beautiful, there are areas you can go sit on big rocks and enjoy the musical sounds of the water and fabulous photo...More

Don't miss driving this if you are in Arizona. The views are spectacular and at the top pull out and visit the first nation people selling their wares. We drove from Sedona and then turned around and drove back down.

We didn't realize the entire drive from Sedona to Flagstaff was basically Oak Creek Canyon - kept waiting for a sign saying 'here it is'. Be sure to take time to stop - there are only a few places - and enjoy the view. The...More

There are only a small handful of places to stay here but infinitely more peaceful and secluded than Sedona. Just a short drive to the Red Rock area, Slide Rock, North fork and other famous hikes and no strip malls, just nature at its best.

The Oak Creek Canyon is perfect for nature lover, fishing is one of the activity, picnic on warm day is highly recommended very near the camp ground.

Planning on visiting Emory Riddle with my daughter in August , want to do a quick visit to Sedona & Flagstaff, with a dog & family of 4. Are their certain trails we can take with our dog in Sedona down to creek area, Would love to swim at slide rock park but read no dogs in creek area. Are their any nearby dog boarding facilities that can be recommended? Any advice would be appreciated,
