A great loop
Jun 2021
We traversed this trail with intent of doing the 3 miles in and back. Great views from the top then we tied into Soldiers Pass, Jordan Trail and then Cibolla Trail to make a nice loop. Most trekkers were coming the other way up Soldiers Pass and around. This was a nice way to start using Brins Mesa first. Not too strenuous but about 4 hours to complete the loop

Great Views from Mesa
Apr 2021
The views from Brin's Mesa are just beautiful - I highly recommend this hike. The hike from the Jordan Road Trailhead get's a little steep near the end, but is not too bad. Trailhead car parking lot can fill up. Remember to buy your Forest Service Red Rock Parking Pass.

Great modified hike
Nov 2020 • Family
This is a great hike if you start at Brins Mesa and walk clockwise towards Soldiers Pass then loop north and back onto Brins Mesa. You’ll have some amazing views and a stop at a sink hole and the seven sacred pools. I’d suggest that you arrive early since parking can be tough and drive to the end of the road but beware of deep holes in the ground that you’ll have to navigate around.

Couldn't find parking on very busy weekend. Nice police officer told us about this one and it was a real treat. Highly recommend especially on busy weekends. Hit Sedona Beer Company after!

Great Moderate Hike
Oct 2020
Great hike, recommend doing it in the morning. Make sure you take a right at the top of the trail and head to the high rocks overlooking the canyon.

Wonderful views on the vista
Jul 2020 • Family
We spent about 2 hours on this hike and it was worth every minute of it! Bring plenty of water as there’s little shade! Some decent climbing as you ascend in places otherwise it’s not all that difficult for those in shape.

Morning hike to Brins Mesa trail
Feb 2020
This was a very nice hime to Brins mesa. It took us about an hour. If we had more time we could have continued to Soldiers pass and then back to the mesa. There are bathrooms at the parking area. We also saw folks on horseback!

Challenging trail with great views
Feb 2020 • Couples
We started at the Jordan road parking lot (red rock pass $5 for one day $15 for one week) since the soldier’s pass lot was full. We were so glad we ended up going this route. We hiked Brin’s Mesa->Soldier’s Pass->Jordan->Cibola Pass in just about 2 hours. Brin’s Mesa starts out with a pretty walk with interesting plant life and a gradual elevation for about the first mile. On the second mile there is a steady elevation climb and thus was definitely the most challenging part of our hike. The views at the top were definitely worth it for the 360 degree view of the surrounding rock formations.

Spectacular Views
Nov 2019
The Brins Mesa Trail is straight up the hill past other signed trailheads for Jordan and Cibola and an information kiosk about the 2006 Brins Fire. The trail takes you to the base of Brins Mesa. The trail gets strenuous as you climb the mesa, about a 500 rise in elevation. You will reach the top in about 1.5 miles. You will see a canyon to the left which is the Solider Pass area. At about 2.8 miles, the trail drops sharply, winding through an Arizona Cypress forest to join Vultee Arch Road. Another person can set up a two-car hike, parking a car at each end. This is avoid you circling back to your starting point and cuts the hike in half in time and distance. See my review on Vultree Arch.
