Nice First Stop on the Red Rocks Highway....
Apr 2021
The first stop I made was at the Ranger Station to view the incredible sight of Bell Rock and Courthouse Rock....Even though the station was closed the views were amazing and well worth the stop for some excellent photos...

The red Rock Ranger District Visitor Center was well worth a visit...Hopoefully it will be open again soon.

Closed because of the virus. When open, it’s excellent! Helpful rangers, wonderful displays, nice little gift shop and outstanding views.

Place was closed.
Sep 2020
Very difficult to rate this place. Moderate number of cars in the paring lot, assume they were employees, but the place was closed to the public during business hours. There were kiosks with information but no one to talk to and no answers to phone calls.

Visitor Center closed!
Sep 2020
After reading the glowing reviews about this visitor center, we decided to make it our first stop during our week in Sedona. But after the 25-minute trip there, we discovered that it was closed due to Covid restrictions. We had really wanted to see the informative 13-minute video and get some tips from the rangers before tackling some of the trails around Red Rock country. May we suggest that, since the visitor center is indefinitely closed, maybe the Forest Service could consider posting that video on their website, or even on youtube. I'm sure it would be appreciated!

A Must Stop Before Going on to Sedona
Feb 2020
The Vistor's Centre has maps and information about the Sedona. They have a 13 minute video in the theatre that gives many great aerial views on the area. They also have vending machines for park passes and information on trail hikes. There is also a walk out area with the first great views of red rocks.

Very knowledgeable staff who answered all our questions. Great displays of the hiking trails-best I’ve ever seen for choosing the best hike based upon, difficulty, length of time, elevation etc. Very nice gift shop with very reasonable prices, and selection.

Knowledgeable rangers, water filling station, bathrooms and lovely rangers who know the trails, weather and will share their personal favorites. Glad we stopped and got to see the view from the parking lot.
