Having recently moved to the Scottsdale area and searching for a Farmers Market, my friend introduced me to the Old Town Farmers Market. Loving this local market with an abundance of fresh veggies, fruits, bakery good and local vendors.

Even though we are in the Covid-19 crisis, the Old Town Farmers Market is practicing excellent cautionary guards to keep us safe. It should not prevent people from shopping local and supporting all our local vendors. I just bought some goodies this morning, though I was told by my friend there weren't nearly as many vendors there and the whole social experience is nonexistent (6ft. apart) and the parking was plenty, I still found all the items I wanted.

Can't wait till life becomes normal again, but in the mean time I will go as long as they remain open and continue the safety precaution practices.

Simply a fun visit every time from October to May. Dod friendly, and that always has a nice vibe. It's always a bit crowded, but that only adds to the atmosphere. MacClendon Farms handles the produce, so you know it's good and fresh. New vendors keep coming in and that is a good thimg.

We love to check out farmers markets when we travel. The Scottsdale market was a good one, although we appreciate a larger selection of fresh produce rather than a plethora of non-food items. We did leave with a freshly baked olive loaf, a chocolate cherry loaf (I froze it for the grandkids' visit), a bear-claw type pastry (huge enough or my husband and e to share), bunch of colorful organic carrots, and organic cherry tomatoes...sweet as candy. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the smoked fish dip we purchased. The vendor was the SAME one we visited at the Carefree farmers market in early January, and we were pleased to see him (and the dips) at this market. The vendors were all very friendly. There was another event being prepped in this old town area of Scottsdale, so arriving before 8:30 a.m. ensured we found a parking spot. All spots in the lot we were in were taken when we left. Definitely worth the visit, and if you come hungry, you will have plenty of choices for your breakfast or lunch!

There are a lot of vendors here and plenty of parking. I parked in the parking garage right across the street. There are a lot of local vendors with a lot of products made in Arizona. There was everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to salsa to cheeses to local honey. My favorite thing I bought was a artichoke vegan dip and rosemary pita chips from the same place. I was surprised to see gluten-free options there also. The farmers market is only on Saturday mornings.

NOT COVID SAFE! I love this market but was appalled to walk through today and see at least 13 VENDOR's that had their masks dropped to their chins. These sellers come in contact with many customers that are less than 6 feet away. Many customers also weren't wearing masks.
Maricopa County has required wearing a masks a mandate!
We ALL need to take this seriously!

If you're a fan of farmers markets, don't miss the Saturday morning one in old town Scottsdale. It offers an impressive selection of beautiful produce, lots of food vendors (from pastries to breakfast to heartier meals), plus artisanal chocolate, hand-made soaps, plants, and cheese. Plenty of free parking nearby.

My wife and I spent some time wandering this farmer's market. The vendors were friendly and there seemed to be a large number of local people purchasing items. It was easy to get around and we found some nice items.

I had a great time there, it was fun to find a new place.. I pretty much found every single thing that I needed except for one thing. I will have to go back to search for it.
I WOULD RECOMMEND!

I think it is the best one l've been to around Phoenix! It has authentic farmers' stands and a minimum of vendors selling trinkets. For a few minutes I felt as if l was at a Farmer's market in France. However, prices are definitely not at European standards. I have an issue buying Arizona oranges, our winter fruit, for $2/lb while oranges fall down the trees in our neighborhoods!

I love this farmers market. So many options from fresh produce, to breads, meats, pastas, soaps & lotions and coffee ! A few local restaurants even set up and sell prepared food. It's open Saturday's and usually very busy, especially during the spring training months. I typically park in the lot at the civic center behind Los Olivos and walk over. Most every booth accepts credit card via the square app. Be sure to bring your own grocery bag!
