Multiple trails for hiking, choose your distance and degree of difficulty. Popular for mountain biking as well. Bikers were courteous and never interfered with our ability to enjoy the terrain. Easy to reach from Scottsdale. Ample parking. Helpful volunteers at trailhead facility were able to...More

My East Coast daughter and son-in-law hiked this trail a week ago. Because they live in an area with no nearby hiking area, this was a first for them. They loved it and were happy it was not too long or toostrenuous.

Our group of 55yo mountain bikers wanted to ride here but one of our group is a vet with an ebike. No ebikes is ridiculous. We will spend our $2k elsewhere..

Of all of the major trailheads in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve...Brown’s Ranch is my favorite. I think the Jane Rau trail- which is accessible...is a hidden jewel. My favorite trails involve Latigo, Brown’s Mtn and the Amphitheater.

Arrived at Brown's Ranch, with my bike and ready to go. Arrived about 3:30 on a Thursday, maybe 15 cars in the parking lot. I went to the Trailhead building and picked up a map, and started my ride. There is water at the trailhead,...More

Once we got our bearings straight and asked for advice from a volunteer at the visitor center we were on our way. With rolling hills and under 1,000 elevation change, it was a great ride. The scenery changed and was beautiful all around. Make sure...More
