- 50statestravelerAlta Loma, California954 contributionsWhat a fun outing! We had planned to come to Scottsdale for Spring Training but when our games were cancelled we had time to fill. I had heard that Top Golf was fun so I booked a bay and made our reservation online. Tuesdays are half off, what a bargain! The place was packed at 11:00 am. Check in was a breeze. We got our bracelets to enable us to order alcohol and swiftly checked in. We were assigned our bay and given directions to find it. We signed into the computer, picked our game and started. Clubs are available and our bay attendant was very attentive. We ordered drinks and appetizers initially and then lunch. Everything was delicious! There were 6 of us and we played, drank, and ate for 3 hours. Our group was made up of 4 golfers and 2 non golfers and everyone had a fabulous time! I highly recommend it. Make reservations online and look at the pricing as different days and times have different pricing. I checked in 15 minutes earlyVisited March 2022Traveled with friendsWritten March 8, 2022
- Adam W2 contributionsExceptionalMy experience here was decent , I came here with my family together and we had quite a good time. When we got there, everything took a bit longer then it should have, although the food/drink service was alright and thrice forgot orders; it was much faster then a larger sized restaurant would have been. The options of ways to play and different scoring system was refreshing from a normal driving range. The food was exceptional but not great. The largest issue for me was the extreme amount of flies around our food. We were constantly swatting them and a few of us got bit. I would heavily recommend some sort of but spray.Visited August 2021Traveled with friendsWritten August 3, 2021

Had a fun night, but the pricing scale needs review here. We paid $50 up front for a reservation with seemingly no benefit. Food was extremely expensive for the amount served, we ordered nachos and received about 10 chips.
Service left much to be desired. We were ID’d three times over the course of the evening even though we had wristbands showing that we are over 21 (we’re all over 30..). Had to flag down servers every time we wanted more food or drink.
For a night that ended up costing me ~$200 for less than 2 hours, we could have played a full round of golf at a very nice course.
Overall very disappointed in my experience

I have never been treated so rudely while on vacation in my entire life. We were lied to by stating "we had too much to drink" (after one beer as we waiting for our booth to open). After we demanded the truth from the manager, he stated we were being kicked out because an African American bartender was offended because one of our wives complimented her on her hair... 🤷🏻♂️
Unbelievable what this world is coming to.

We were on holidays from Europe and planned a visit to Topgolf as we were here last year as well and thoroughly enjoyed it. However, on arrival, we were all asked for ID, even some of our party that are in their 50's. The only ID we had were European driving licences as we wouldnt expect to need passports. Our driving liciences were not acceptable forms of ID !!! We could have gotten our passports but on principle deceided to go elsewhere for entertainment. There was 10 people in our party so they lost our on a couple of hundred dollars ! This place really needs to update their ID policy. We actually felt discriminated against for being European !!

Do not go as a walk-in. We arrived just after 6pm on a Wednesday and were told our wait would be 1hour and 15min. After 1 hour we checked and we’re told our wait was still 1 hour. After waiting another hour we still had not received our 30 minute text to say our turn was coming. We had a bummed out 13 year old as we gave up after waiting my than 2 hours with no hope of a turn to golf. Food/service was not good even for fast food. Boneless wings were tough, Guac was bland. Pretzel bites were good. Service was very slow and every time we ordered anything we needed to ask for cutlery, plates and napkins, more than 10 minutes to get our server to ask for our bill and the at least 5 minutes more waiting for the print out, etc. my first official 1star rating on anything.

Went to TopGolf with a group of 6. As we played we realized the scoring was not working. Kept jumping around from person to person and never stayed on the person that was competing. Wouldn’t have been a big problem except the wait person just didn’t care when we pointed out the problem. She said there was nothing she could do except give us another 15 min to play but by then we had to leave as we had other plans. Tried to talk to someone at the front counter but the line was too long and we had to leave. I really expected the waitperson to contact someone to address the problem but she never offered. Really spoiled the experience.

This is a brand new facility that both my son and I were excited to visit. Walking through the parking lot I am yelled at by an employee in a cart and told we, (my eleven year old son and I), can't use any drivers or woods at the range. He is angry and aggressive. Caught off guard, I stop and ask, "what are talking about? Start over, why can't I bring my driver?" He proceeds to finally explain that they're working on the nets or something to that effect and they don't want any balls going over. Ok fine, I only brought my driver anyway, I can put that back in the truck and my son can get some practice. We proceed back to entrance, enter to find literally 20 employees waiting to attack, the closest one aggressively greets us and asks us if this is our first time. Yes it is. Ok great it's $5 each for a "play card"????,, then we can set you you up, and does he have any drivers in his bag? I ask if they're referring to my eleven year old son? You're concerned my eleven year old son is going to drive it over your nets???
It felt weird. Insulting. Demeaning.....maybe even racially motivated. We were the only customers of color that I saw in the entry. Come to think of it, the guy in the parking lot didn't give the same speech to several other white customers arriving at the same time?
I will NEVER go there again. Just awful!!

Part of our goal at Topgolf is to provide an excellent experience for all of our guests, and we deeply regret you and your son’s recent disappointment. It’s important to explain that we do, in fact, currently have a ban on drivers, woods and hybrids as well as new club rules for the floors. These are temporary but critical safety measures we are taking to ensure that balls remain in bounds. We have instructed our Associates to manage guests’ expectations with regard to these rules by addressing them as soon as visitors arrive at Topgolf. We are saddened by your feeling that you were singled out, and we promise you that is simply not the case. Indeed, Topgolf does not solicit discrimination in any form; we want and solicit business from anyone who is kind enough to give it to us. That said, we have admittedly been aggressive in our enforcement of these rules to ensure safety. We are nonetheless sorry that you found our Associates’ approach to be insulting. We will use your feedback as a coaching opportunity for our team. Please know that we have other long-term solutions in the works with regard to the ban on these clubs, and we hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you – under more enjoyable circumstances.

Just a FYI, this establishment is knowingly deceiving customers by using LIMITED FLIGHT BALLS, it is a big secret they do not want to the PUBLIC to find out. This is truly just a game, not for the real golfer to work on their game. Please think twice about spending your money on a overpriced arcade game, poor service and instead support a real driving range or golf course here in the valley.

We went here for my husband’s 50th birthday party on a Saturday afternoon. We picked this place because my husband loves golf, and my SIL had gone to a Top Golf for a corporate event, and had had a great time. We paid $151 for 3 hours and 7 membership cards), plus another $95 for food/drinks.
We were a party of 7 initially, growing to 10 by the time stragglers arrived. We had an issue in signing up where the printer died, and I had to wait while they got me all the membership cards, etc. What I didn’t realize was that even though I had waited in line and paid, I was not yet on the waiting list for a bay. Getting on the wait list happens in a second line at the Concierge Desk. I was pretty upset when I found out that multiple groups who had come in after me who had not gotten stuck with a nonworking printer had now gone over and signed up for bays ahead of me. (I was frustrated that the front desk agent didn’t suggest I go over and sign up and then come back to get the remainder of the cards.)
It was my husband’s party and I wanted it to be perfect, so I over-reacted just the slightest bit. I asked for a manger. Kudos to them, they handled my over-reaction very professionally and diplomatically. I felt embarrassed afterwards (sorry, guys!), but my husband had a wonderful time, didn’t think about all the many pressures in his life once during the entire visit, and I am very grateful for how they handled the situation.
We had a bay for 3 hours ($35/hour). And I will say the 3 hours flew by! Six people can play at one bay at a time, but you can remove/add players at any time. In my opinion, a single bay can really only accommodate 7-8 people with any comfort (max 4 on the couch, 3 at the high top table behind the couch, and 1 player). So if you have more, you probably want two bays. We were lucky enough not to have anybody else in the bay next to us, and, of course, we spilled over to their area.
They have different games you can play by hitting the ball into targets in the range. We weren’t serious gamers/golfers (well, except for my husband and his father!) and just had fun hitting the ball. From a total experience perspective, the evening is probably the better time to go because the targets are lit up. But I think the the daytime is a little more low key (less crowded, less wait time). As many have said before, they don’t allow drivers or hybrids currently because some players have put balls in the neighboring parking lot. Hopefully they will fix this soon, but you can still have fun without those clubs. They do allow you to bring/use your own irons.
Our event administrator was excellent (Christine). We brought in a birthday cake, which I was afraid would be an issue (bringing in outside food), but nothing was said (thank you!). And we certainly ordered enough drinks and food to make a good tab.
They have some kinks to work out yet in their processes (like being sensitive to people not wanting to wait longer than they absolutely have to!). But I would recommend this place for a fun party for anybody whether they play golf or not. Maybe a little more fun for the golfer, but nongolfers can certainly enjoy cheering and heckling (did I just reveal something about my family?). My husband and I talked about how much fun this place would be with some of the golfers we play with, so I think we’ll be back (either here or one of the other sites they are in process of opening).
The one thing that was a little frustrating was understanding the scoring system. Sometimes a shot that hit the target didn’t register at all, sometimes the same shot would have different scores. (This was mainly a problem for the competitive and analytical among us!) Personally, I think this problem is solved with just a little more alcohol!

Ridiculous! Went with six of us who had all been there before. Four people did not have their cards. The server said we could look up their numbers by their names, phone numbers or emails. Surprise- non came up so we had to pay 20 for new cards. What a racket! Should be able to look up and then verify with id. We ordered food and stayed for a few hours so they got their dollars out of us. Wrong!,,,,

It seems like that place is so popular & that it fills up no matter what. We got there close to opening time & we waited about 15 minutes. They are very organized & keep things moving pretty well. Be sure to get your computer passes (if you don't have cards)right away otherwise you will waste time standing in the wrong line.
