We (two adults and two kids) went for a 1.5 hour horseback ride group tour. There was only one other person on our tour at that time, so it felt like a private ride. Our tour guide was Ally and she was very informative about the ranch and desert and also very personable. The lead guide kept us all on pace and then there was another rider from the ranch bringing up the rear of the group. So although nothing went wrong, they seem to have plenty of staff to handle anything that may have come up on the ride. We were lucky enough to get a beautiful sunset. Ally also helped out and took out photos along the ride. This was my husband and two kids (16 & 13) first time riding. They all got very calm and appropriate horses to ride. They all liked it enough that they’d like to go horseback riding again sometime soon. It was very relaxing to to ride such nice and beautiful horses. Great time has by all.

I brought my boyfriends niece and nephew to McDonald’s Ranch! They absolutely LOVED it! They rode the ponies, fed the goats, and spent so much time at the petting zoo! Mind you this was all free to the public. We tipped our girl who helped with the ponies. The kids would have stayed there all day if they could! Love that you get the true Arizona experience when you come here!

This ranch is adorable. The horses are beautiful, strong and well-cared for. Mikey was engaging & friendly. Kim was the guide today for my first ever desert riding experience! Knowledgeable and captivating as she shared about the habitat, culture and climate. Positive, safe experience! Highly recommend!
