Ever since I was a little kid, I have always wanted to ride a horse in the desert. My Dad, who was also my hero, loved to watch westerns, especially John Wayne westerns. This obviously influenced me growing up, but growing up in England didn’t help with the whole desert dream. I did take horse riding lessons, but it was... More

When I found out this ranch was family owned and operated I looked forward to great customer service and that is what I got. Talking to them on the phone and meeting them in person was a wonderful experience. I felt like I was a distant cousin coming to visit grandmas farm that was staffed by aunts, uncles and the... Bryan was an excellent guide! Our 2-hour ride was fun and educational .. we learned about the land, plants and animals. Horses are very calm and well cared for. Great time!

We had a fantastic sunset trail ride on horseback as a family. Our wrangler, Bryan, was really great - kept us safe and passed on a load of interesting facts about the desert environment as we rode. We even saw a Coyote. We are not regular riders - but this is a highly recommended experience. Its not Disney - thank... More

Want to sit in someone else's urine for an hour?! How about watch your daughter get catapulted off her horse in front of you?! If you're expecting a quiet, enjoyable trail ride, go elsewhere. I took my two daughters (one age 8 and one age 23) along with my older daughters' boyfriend for a trail ride here on 12-31-16. It... More

My sincerest apologies for that day. It is never our intent for any guest to have anything less than an enjoyable experience at our facility. The horse involved in this incident has been a long time, faithful, patriot of the ranch and has never been involved in any incidents until this day. Our horses and staff are very well trained... This is a two part review I have gone to the ranch with my grandkids 2 years in a row for the Pumpkin patch halloween event. There there are many things for kids of all ages. to do. I have been horse back riding with them a couple of times and the personal and horses are first class. I suggest... More

My wife and i recently went on a vacation to Arizona. One of the things we wanted to do was to experience a little of the old west, so we planned on going to a farm-western-themed ranch called MacDonald's Ranch. We called ahead to make a reservation to take an old-fashioned stage coach ride, and booked us an 1 1/2... More

We came for an afternoon to this large ranch north of Scottsdale. Despite the settings and games were more for younger children our daughter had a lot of fun with the horses and especially the hay rides out into the desert and the pumpkin patch.

Went on our very first horseback ride with Brian and Anneka. Guides, horses, the two sisters and the rest of the staff were outstanding. We loved the whole experience. Definitely recommend and definitely plan to return.

Have been here for many events from their pumpkin patch to just stopping by. You can bring the kids any time--one of the great things is there are kids horse rides all the time for a nominal fee. If there isn't an event you can just explore the grounds and play games and see the petting zoo. Good, cheap, fun... More
