I don't know why every place that has an Old Town area populates is with almost identical stores - galleries, souvenir shops, chocolate shops - and so-so restaurants. Albuquerque's Old Town has a similar feel. I do love the area around the Scottsdale Performing Arts...More

Coming from Canada, this place reminded me of Banff. Loved the atmosphere and the friendly smiles. The mexican food was delicious as well!

A fun way to spend a few hours. Many stores all sell the same stuff but there are a handful of interesting finds. Some great artisans but very pricey.

There are some good restaurants (the Mission, Citizen Public House) in Old Town Scottsdale, and some good galleries, but there are a lot of geode stores western wear stores, and tourist shops that didn't seem to be much of a draw.

This place gives you a taste of the Old West, but with all the modern amenities. There are tons of shops and great places to eat. I did a self guided walking tour which was fun and gave me a deeper appreciation for the history...More

Take a leisurely stroll through Old Town and walk in the steps of history with the old west style shops and wide streets. The shops and boutiques that line the street are quirky, elegant and worth walking into. Eclectic cafes, restaurants and bars give you...More

It is touristic/artistic area, as well as a dining quarter. There is always some activity, in special around holidays.

If you want lots of tourist stuff and Indian silver jewelry it's fine for an hour. Don't plan on spending too much time or money there.

This area has blocks of interesting little stores from used jewelry and watches to stunning new designer jewelry --from local and nationally known designers. There are unique clothing stores, restaurants that are not franchised and a free bus system that covers the area.

We stayed for a long 4 day weekend, which was primarily a golf trip. On the last day, we spend walking around Old Town, looking through their shops. Great way to spend 2 hours.

There is gambling very close at Talking Stick which is on the Salt River Pima Reservation. It's like a few miles from Old Town.
