Before or after a round of golf on a spectacular course my family recommends a hearty breakfast or good lunch. The breakfast and lunch specials are a good value for the amount of food you get. We had breakfast with a friend from out of town and really did enjoy the food and atmosphere. The Legend Trail area is probably one of my favorite places in Phoenix so the scenery is really great and pristine. Cant go wrong with this great golf setting.

Pretty solid track at a really good price.....great practice facility (I would go just for this). It is a bit of a drive from the center of town....

Please see my blog at http://talesfromtheroad-mwalno.blogspot.com/

Arrived 1/2 hour before our tee time and the guys working bag drop and the club house were GREAT. They were able to re spike my shoes (a bit pricey at $20) before the round while we warmed-up on the excellent range.

Played from the silver tees at 6400 yards and it was a bit challenging, shot 86, but very playable.

Not a tradition desert course because there must be at least a million homes surrounding the course...and it doesn't feel like you are out in the desert, and limits the views of the mountains.

But it is spectacularly maintained, tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in GREAT SHAPE. Only down side is that it is a bit unimaginative with not much variety through the holes.

I will say the pro shop is very nice, dogs at the turn were EXCEPTIONAL, and it was a lovely experience.

A bit of a drive back to the airport (45 minutes), but I would return to play when back in the Valley.

Total - $150.00 (for two of us)

I was in town for a week, and had three rounds planned. Unfortunately, unusual and heavy rains hit the Phoenix/Scottsdale area October 1-3, and the course I was supposed to play closed due to water on the course. I looked for an alternative, and my primary options were either closed or booked until late morning. I came across Legend Trail and headed over. The staff was great and I headed out. The course was in terrific condition. The greens, yes they are large, were in great condition. Well, so were the tee, fairways, and bunkers. I spent little time in the rough so can't rate those. Due to the rain, the ball didn't roll much. Shots to the green stuck so good shots were rewarded. I will definitely paly here the next time in town.

This course is way overpriced...along with many others today. The scenery is nice but the greens are too firm and fail to hold high shots on a regular basis. It's a nice course but felt there wasn't anything special about the layout. Golf courses like this should wise up and realize that there will be a time when people realize there are many better courses in the area that much cheaper. It's my first and last time to play this course.

The head golf pro is very rude. We Play there today September 27 with her grandson my wife does not play golf and wanted to ride along and they said she could not write on the card could walk for the additional $20.
I am 73 and my wife is 72 and we called ahead and they told us it would be no problem for an extra cart. When we got there we were told that my wife would have to walk and pay $20 after much discussion we finally said OK we did not wanna argue

The golf shop staff seem to be embarrassed finally the golf pro came out on the second hole and gave us a cart however he wanted to make his point about the policy and that we should read the entire website so as not to be confused in the future.
It was embarrassing and uncalled for I’m not sure what he wanted to prove we graciously said thank you even though the mistake was clearly made and he is in to begin with. The golf course was excellent in a good shape but we were so offended I would never go there again this man needs a lesson in humility and hospitality very inappropriate behavior we Felt he wanted to make his point and somewhat humiliating experience I hope the owners in the management review of these comments this was very disappointing. We teed off at 2:30 recourse was almost empty with this type of treatment I guess I can understand why.

I've played this course many times and love the experience every time. Front side is fair and kind of wide open. Watch out for the back side, especially #11. One of the toughest holes in the city. Play from the right tee boxes if you have trouble with long carries.

The course is an interesting design, but the driving range is very sad and the traps are filled with dirt, pebbles and little sand.

Nice course in a beautiful area! Needs more conditioning for the price.Seems like you are paying more because of the location in North Scottsdale. That being said,it is a very nice course that just needs TLC. Plenty of other courses in the area to play in that price range,or pay a little more and play top notch courses. First comes to mind is,,,,Tonto Verde,,,two outstanding 18 hole courses for a little less money. Or even try Vista Verde,,a great layout, but needs some better service. They act like they don't care if you come back. Look around the area, lots of wonderful golf courses. Ron

Played here with my wife as part of a 3 course package through Meridian Golf. We both loved the course and had a great day playing here. We dont require Augusta-like conditions to enjoy our rounds, and this place was nearly perfect. The greens were fast and fair, the fairways just wide enough to handle the errant tee shot, and the course conditions amazing. The Meridian option of unlimited play made it even better, as we went around again despite the heat. The staff were very good, the breakfast excellent, and the overall experience top notch.....we played with 2 locals who said its one of their favorite courses if that says anything......

Played this on our recent golf trip with 12 of us in total. We played 5 other courses as well including Both TPC courses, Eagle Mountain, Superstition Mountain and Estrella Mountain. This was the consensus least impressive of all the courses we played with some decent holes, okay but not great conditioning, slower okay greens and way too many houses that in most of our opinions were too close to the course which detracted greatly from the experience. The experience was reminiscent of playing a municipal course in the middle of a subdivision. The condition of he course was also less than polished and no where near that of Superstition and TPC. Probably would not play here again given the number of better courses available in a similar price bracket. We paid around $80 and replay rate was $35 which we declined given the less than scintillating experience we had with it. The clubhouse and pro shop facility was also looking a little worn and in need of some updating and renos perhaps. Food and service in the smallish grill were excellent however as was the beer cart service on the course.
