Have an hour and love racing (especially IndyCar)? This museum is for you.

It features about a dozen historic Penske racecars. The star, at least in my eyes, is Danny Sullivan’s “spin and win” car. But whether you’re a fan of IndyCar, NASCAR or Formula 1, you’ll see something you love. Younger fans might be surprised at which driver gets the most attention: Mark Donohue. Upstairs, see Roger’s collection of Indy 500 trophies and celebrate with some food at the snack bar.

Unless you’re a superfan, you’ll be in and out in less than an hour. That’s not the end of the car gawking… the museum is surrounded by a bevy of luxury car dealerships.

The Museum is a nice collection of race cars and trophies that you can see up close along with other memorabilia that bring the history alive. It is surrounded by a dealership with Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Mclarens, Porsches, etc so that is an added plus. We spent over an hour there but would expect most would be more in the 30-45 min range. FREE and worth the stop!

It looks as if no expense has been spared, in presenting nearly 50 years of famous racing cars from Team Penske. A very memorable collection. The two-story facility is also used for entertaining and an upstairs pavilion overlooks a test track. Located inside a sprawling auto mall of exclusive Penske dealerships.

Many unique race cars demonstrating the Penske Racing history. Fantastic quality exhibits. Free entry and nice small cafe. Located with many European Luxury brand car dealerships owned by Penske so you can look at the Bentleys, Lambo's, etc. when you have finished with the Museum.
Scottsdale old town is a couple of miles further south of the museum and worth a visit.

After a few days of Barrett Jackson it was fun to take this diversion to see his racing museum.
Fun to look at the Indy and NASCAR vehicles on display as well as the engine history.
30 minutes max.

My husband has been to many Indy 500's. So, when we were in town and I told him about this free museum he as so excited. He loved it and had even been to some of the races where the pictures were taken. We only wish the upstairs had been open. It is free, how can you beat that.

I've stopped here many times. Penske has put together a very nice collection of race cars that have lots of history, vintage and new. It's a great way to spend 15 minutes to an hour. It depends on you. Don't forget to look outside lots of cool stuff out there too. Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Mclarens, Porsches, etc....

In my opinion, if you like cars, park at the end of the row of dealerships on Scottsdale Road and work your way through the cars for sale. About five years ago, I did it with a friend and it helped my decide which sports car to buy. I did that again this year, just before the COVID-19 shutdown, and the museum was open. We took a quick tour and if you are a fan of auto racing, it will not disappoint you.

We enjoyed seeing the Nascar and Indy race cars up close. It is like a show room of approximately 20 cars. (FREE admission)The trophies, cups and concession stand is on the 2nd foor.

Went with my oldest grandson cause he had been asking me to take him to see race cars. I have been to many Indy car races and som formula one also. Great collection by Roger Penske Jr. My grandson could keep Stop asking to sit in one. Wish they would put a car in the museum where young kids can sit in one.
Great place to spend a little precious time with a youngster.
