The Monument Course, which opened in 1990, was conceived by legendary golfer Tom Weiskopf and Architect Jay Morrish. In 2007, the course underwent a major renovation project, led by Tom Weiskopf. An entirely new playing experience was created by exchanging its front nine holes with the front nine of its sibling course, the Pinnacle Course, and changing the sequence in which the holes are played. Hallmarks of the course include balance, variety and immaculate course conditions.

Challenging course in a gorgeous setting. The back nine is the most scenic, but the entire course is beautiful. Not being from Arizona, we loved all of rabbits and lizards running around. We played with rentals - brand new Callaway's, which were very nice. Only complaint was that the bar cart was slow to come around.

I have played Troon North (both courses) many times. But until last month, I had not played it in over 10 years since moving away. As a former club professional in the Phoenix area, I can tell you that playing Troon North will live up to your expectations. From the layout, to the condition, to the views, and to the... More

Playing here was very satisfying. I had a Troon Club membership so paid half price. The check in was smooth and Mike was very friendly. It was windy and cold day the middle of May. The Monument course has spectacular layout and was perfectly manicured. It was challenging enough and the greens were pretty fast but not consistent all throughout.... More

Played this in March. The course was in great shape. The greens were a little hard to play, sometimes fast and occasionally slow. There are a number of tee boxes that make it reasonable and challenging for many types of golfers. The on course cart service was frequent enough and not overly expensive. There were a number of very nice... More

This was the most expensive course we played this past trip to Scottsdale and it just wasn't with the price tag. The tee boxes and fairways were beautiful and well maintained, but the greens were not great. They were splotchy and not smooth. The range area is nice. We played the Monument course and found out right before we played... More

Thank you for the review Deanna M. Currently, we are exploring the possibility of offering a larger food & beverage menu within our new GPS system, which perhaps would... More

I have played many of the best public courses in the Phoenix area but had never played Troon North. In town with buddies for a long weekend and we decided to play the Monument course despite the $255 green fee because of the reputation of the course. Our experience started well as we spent time in the well-appointed pro shop... More

Thanks for the review and appreciate the feedback, good or bad as this helps us be better at what we do. Its unfortunate one aspect of our operation, in this case course conditions, put a damper on your overall experience, and for that we sincerely apologize. We aim to provide superior service and playing conditions and it would seem we... More

Another must try course if in Scottsdale but be prepared for the heat and challenge if playing in August like we were. We are mid-high handicappers but at this time of the year, it was ideal given it wasn't very busy due to the heat. Would recommend teeing off no later than 830-9am and even then, you may not finish... More

The Monument course is my favorite public golf course in the Scottsdale area. The back nine is the best nine holes in the state. The front nine is down in the valley with some great holes, but lacks superior views. The back nine goes up and down the mountain with fantastic views, large boulder formations, and that great view of... More
