Very smooth water. It was off season so the store had minimum hours and supplies. We will come back in the summer.

Stopped here on our way to the Grand Canyon which is quite close by. The park was rather remote, but only about 45 min from the Petrified Forest NP. It is in between two small towns (Springerville and St. Johns) which have plenty of restaurants, gas stations, etc. if we had wanted to go out for dinner. The rangers were... More

I love this quiet and peaceful campground. Park rangers and all employees are extremely nice, helpful and friendly. Appreciate this and thank you !!! The campground is clean and the facilities are clean, too. Too bad they do not rent boats or kayaks.

My husband and I had attended the Lavender Festival. We wanted to check out the lake for future trips so we drove there for the evening. We were pleasantly surprised. We want to come back and camp.

What an awesome place to camp. We have stayed here twice. The fist time was in Oct 14. In a cabin. Second time in our camp trailer. Boy what a big difference to the park. They have a New manager there and he is whipping that park into shape. Great job. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Cabins a... More

We rented a little cabin on the shore and it was delightful -- AC and everything! There is a small front room with a table and chairs and a bookcase for supplies, then a small bedroom in back with a full size bed and a bunk bed. This is where the AC is. A total life-saver! The beds are very... More

We stayed at this park in late April. Had our pick of level sites. Nice space between the sites, covered picnic tables, restrooms with showers that were in decent shape. There are great views of the lake, hiking trails that take you to petroglyphs, and it was very peaceful. We would definitely stay here again if passing through.

This park is clean, beautiful, and peaceful. There are no crowds, no limits on boat sizes, and very well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love that you can hit their market for anything you might have forgotten and they even have gas at reasonable prices. We enjoyed our tent camping but we're really excited to try the... More

Good roads, hook ups, level spots with lots room. Clean restrooms, hot showers. Great views of the lake with almost no crowds. Nice hiking trail, but not much for kids to do. We stayed 3 days in a motor home.
