Great golf and views

Played the Peaks course today for the first time and it was great! The course was in excellent condition, and the mountain views we're amazing. Definitely worth the drive.

We play both Tonto Verde courses each winter, and there are no better conditioned courses in the Valley; the greenskeeper is a "keeper." As tests of golf, they are good -- but not great -- courses, with both lacking strategic challenge and design creativity. And there are two huge drawbacks that will drive us away. First, they permit groups of... More

About 10 miles east of Scottsdale on Dynamite. Two courses, Peaks and Ranch. I played the Ranch. Course was in excellent shape. I'm a 10-11 handicap and played from the blue tees, 6585 yds. Four par fours at 400+ yds. Wide fairways with undulating greens. Quiet. Well bunkered. Not much water. Great up close views of the surrounding mountains. Very... More

As a neighbor ( Rio Verde )and a lot owner I have watched Tonto Verde since its founding. They have an excellent pair of golf courses and an outstanding clubhouse food and beverage operation. It also, has pretty complete non-golfclub amenities close by in Fountain Hills ( groceries, doctors, etc.).

Although this is a private course, they do allow public access. Worth the trip into the desert. Two beautiful courses with a great view of the Four Peaks. The two 18-hole layouts are in great shape and fun to play. The Peaks Course is tight but fair, the Ranch Course is a little more wide open. Seems strange to find... More

What a beautiful course! We played the Peaks course and is one of the nicest and well maintained courses we have played on. The greens were some of the best we have been on. We enjoyed it so much yesterday, we have tee times for tomorrow!

We have played the Ranch last day before closing. Great staff, very friendly. We will return next year to play it when it's in good shape. Thank you for a good time.

Tonto Verde is a favorite course for us, especially in the off-season summer months. Course is always in excellent condition and rates are a fraction of the in-season rate for essentially the same golf experience. Only drawback is that, on very quiet days, there may not be a beverage cart going around. Staff are always very friendly and professional, practice... More

The only thing that keeps this from being a five star review is the relative sameness of the golf holes. One slight dogleg, otherwise you're looking straight out at the green on every shot. However, when we played in May, the course was immaculate. The tees, fairways and greens were in great shape, the paths leading from one hole to... More
