Just back from a great adventure to the alpaca farm. What a fun and informational tour. The owners are anxious to share their knowledge and passion for their alpacas. Feeding andPetting these wonderful creatures was of course the highlight. It is quite hot this time of year so don’t forget your water.

About 30 mins outside of downtown Prescott is Plum Creek Alpacas. We were here for a work trip and always like to find something local and different to do when out of town. Had a nice time learning about these floofy creatures and their fur. This is a family run business and the tours are run by them so you get up close and personal to their animals. The tour is about an hour and they provide you with a bag of feed. There also is a small shop that sells different alpaca items. If you go in the summer bring a hat and water because it is all in full sun. We were glad we could support a small local business and come away with some new knowledge about these animals.

Great tour run by a great family. Everyone was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. In addition, they didn’t seem to mind that I was giddy with excitement at the sight of the baby alpacas. In fact, they encouraged us to take as many pictures and selfies as we wanted and even taught one of the babies. Rosie, to “hug” visitors! Worth the detour! 🦙

You will learn a TON about Alpacas. They are interesting animals. I had never met one before and on the tour you get to feed them in 11 different pens. The guides and hosts were the owners. They were wonderful. The gift shop at the end of the tour has some things you can purchase too.

I purchased a groupon to visit this farm, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The family is so kind and I learned so much during my visit. The alpacas seem to be well cared for and loved, and it was nice to interact with them a bit. They also have some products for sale. The tour takes about an hour. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Everyone had a wonderful time as we fed the alpacas and learned all about them. I would recommend a visit regardless of your age. Be sure to call for a spot in the tour. They are too cute!

Found this on Groupon when we were planning our Arizona trip. This is an hour away from Sedona and I’m so glad we went here before heading to Scottsdale. The alpacas look very well taken care of. Inside the gift shop is where their awards are displayed. I bought a keychain with a super cute alpaca pouf and lavender bar soap. We had a blast petting and feeding the alpacas. So excited to follow their IG so we can see the babies of the pregnant alpacas we met in the “pregnant dorm”.

Three generations loved this tour. My mom is 76 and has rheumatoid arthritis so I called ahead and they recommended the first tour of the day at 9 am. They were able to drive my mom from pen to pen in a utility vehicle. My husband, kids (ages 10 and 8) walked and it was easy for us. There is no shade so wear a hat and bring water. Also, it can get a bit dusty. It is a family run business. They give you a bag of treats so you can feed the alpacas. You’ll learn a ton about the animals. There is a small gift shop at the end of the tour. I picked up a cute t-shirt and my kids got little stuffed alpacas.
