Ken Lindley Park is on Gurley Street, about a mile east of the Yavapai County Courthouse Square in Prescott, AZ. It dates back to at least the 1930's when the stadium was built. It was named for my cousin, Ken Lindley, after he was killed in a traffic accident in Cottonwood, AZ in 1971. He was the Police Chief in Prescott, and he died in the line of duty. Cousin Ken's family moved to Arizona from Arkansas and Texas. He served in World War II. I'm glad the city of Prescott has honored him by naming the park Ken Lindley Park. The park is an urban park, in a residential area. It covers several acres. It includes a baseball field and a skate park. There are also picnic tables in the shade of trees.

The park and playground is in need of some renovation, but the baseball field is really cool and well maintained.

This is a park in the middle of town. During the summer there are Soft Ball tournaments to watch. Yavapai Jr. Collage, always ranked in the top 3 in the country, plays half of their home soccer games at this field. There is a skate park and playground for the kids.

Saw the review, decided to try it. Huge skateboard park, tot lot, baseball field, bathrooms, and picnic area. The parking is inside the park off the side street. The TA reviewer said this was named after a family member, what a tribute it is to that person. Really nice large park. Across the street was a VFW and a museum, 2 buildings all made out of large river rock which looked unique and old. Easy to find and get to. Thanks for reviewing it, otherwise we wouldn't have known.
