Museum is small but worth stopping by! Parking is an issue, though. Call first for hours and current info.

I always heard of Well Fargo.

Wells Fargo had to protect the money. Bad people wanted to steal the money.

The guy told us a lot of the Wells Fargo.

We could have a picture at the carriage. We got it when we were back to Canada.

This museum showed a lot of the Wells Fargo and I liked it!

In the past many people wanted to steal the money.

In the past when a robber was attacked, the person that found the money, he would get 2000 dollars.

A must see and it is free!

Now it is not the same now! I prefer like that!

This museum has some great artifacts and memorabilia from the real Old West- including one of the signature stage coaches like the ones used by Wells Fargo in the past. It's a small museum, but well worth a visit.

I was not planning on going but I had lots of free time in downtown Phoenix and as I was wondering around I saw the sign so I decided to pop in.

I was immediately greeted by a friendly docent who gave me some tips on features of the museum.

The museum had very interesting and diverse displays. I ended up spending about 45 minutes there and left with a much better understanding of the old west to say the least. It's certainly worth a visit if you are in downtown Phoenix.

We enjoyed our visit to this charming museum that would be especially appropriate for children. There was enough displays to make it worth your while, but was not overwhelming. The free price of admission can't be beat.

Not only was it easy to find, the parking was just across the street! The museum is all on one level and so very interesting! The artifacts, film, and art displays were great! If you find the Mexican coin, you will get a prize!
An added bonus is the Orpheum Theater (only open on certain days) 1/2 block away and the Police Museum about 1 block away. All in all, a good day!!

Our family of 5 spent 1 1/2 hrs here and enjoyed this place so very much. Thank you for having wonderful staff on board who enjoy the exhibit as much as we did!

We arrived early for the tour of the Orpheum Theatre. A bus had unloaded a lot of people. My husband asked the docent if the second tour of the day might be less crowded, and she said it probably would be. In the meantime, she suggested that we get lunch at anyone of the many venues near the Theatre, or take a walk down the block to the Wells Fargo Museum. THAT was our unexpected visit. We spent a little over an hour enjoying the museum. A high point was getting our picture taken in front of a real Wells Fargo Stage Coach. This was a free picture that was sent directly to our email address. And, it is a surprisingly good quality picture! We roamed the museum looking at all of the historic displays, including looking at money boxes, reading about stage coach robbers, visiting the ticket office, checking out the mining area, observing the various art pieces and paintings, and...trying to find the coin that would have resulted in a prize for the finder! I'm not sharing more than that other than to tell you that it's worth searching for as you will uncover many more delightful facts about the history of Wells Fargo in the process. The docent at the front desk was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. If you enjoy history, especially of the western frontier era, this is THE place to visit.

It is a self guided tour. It takes about an hour to go thru. Lots of great information about the old West and the stage coachs. It is free so that always makes it worth while to stop and see it. Would recommend of you are downtown Phoenix.

We were very surprised at how good this museum was as we wouldn't have known about it if it wasn't for Tripadvisor.

It's a short walk from the Light Rail stop, the docents are charming and it's free.

We loved the Stagecoach and sitting in cinema seats watching movie and TV show clips - a lot of our childhood was there.

The bronzes are wonderful in the art room.

As I thought Wells Fargo only transported money and was into banking I learnt a lot in a fun and accessible way.

Highly recommended.
