A great concept that I looked forward to seeing. I made the 30 mile drive downtown to see this last night, a Friday evening. We reached the park about 8pm. The park was completely black/unlit. The only way I knew I was in the right place was by seeing the 2 unmistakable suspension booms that hold the sculpture up. It was not illuminated last night, so not sure what has happened to this piece of artwork.

I had read in many places that this was a must see when downtown. We went during the day and were disappointed. The gardens of Arizona Center were much nicer and relaxing. To me it was basically just an expanse of grass. Not a lot of landscaping. The art work was cool. If you are in the area, stop by, but don't make a special trip across town for it.

The park features an interesting public art installation and a beautifully maintained landscape of plants that provide nice shade and green grass to sit on (a rare site in downtown Phoenix). Unfortunately, no one ever seems to hang out here. It would be a great place to grab a drink at one of several nearby cafes and lay in the grass and read or chat with friends, but I never see the park used this way. Unfortunately, it is much more often occupied by people down on their luck, be it homeless people or apparent drug addicts.
Here's to hoping the city will one day take better care of disadvantaged residents so the park will feel like a safe and fun place for everyone to enjoy.

We followed our iphone gps to the park location. I had my kids all twisted around, trying to locate this park. When we finally arrived, it is dark. (2/5/21)
We were there on a friday night, around 7pm in February. Why would it not be lit on a weekend?
There were no trendy ice cream, coffee or cake shops bordering the park. Just dark buildings.
We did see the wire framework of the light structure- it would have been cool had it been lit.
We will NEVER get back to phoenix- there was nothing about this city that appealed to my family of teens. Good thing we had stopped at Top Golf in Scottsdale on the way in.

Unfortunately the art piece does not light up every night and there is no way to know which night the lights will be on. I was very disappointed to have driven here from Chandler just to see nothing. Who ever is in charge of lighting this art work, please make a schedule.

This is just a park with an art piece in it. While the art piece was cool at night, and there was a band playing, I guess I expected more. Also, as an out-of-towner, the name was deceiving. This is not a 'space-related' park, it is just a park.

So I finally got my wish to return here at night, as I was back in Phoenix. Was really awesome! Super-fantastic way to light up the structure! Truly a night spectacle!
Won't mind coming back here again in the future!

I was handling PR for a festival in the park called Phoenix Lights. It was the perfect size and setting for the event. Plenty of natural spots to relax in the shade and a great view of the city. Definitely go to check out the floating sculpture, entitled Her Secret Is Patience.

Came here once, but unfortunately it was midday and not at night, when the structure is all lit up!
Nice area that is part of ASU Campus.
Next time I am in Phoenix, I will definitely come back when it's dark.
