I came across an online advertisement for this show and it looked interesting so I checked reviews for it. Upon seeing so many happy reviews, I decided to get tickets. Booked the tickets online a couple months in advance with no problem and opted for seats in the front row (you get to view the seating chart and choose accordingly). We went for an evening show at the Biltmore Hotel and I loved that it was meant to be a small/intimate setting where they perform in front of you and not up on a stage.

Boyfriend and I attended the show and we enjoyed every minute. The music was very good, the setup was simple yet completely entertaining. Roland and Susan were literally inches away at times, yet we were unable to determine or see how they were doing what they were doing. I had no intention of trying to figure it out, but it was a pleasure to have something going on so close to you that still manages to mystify. The tricks were not hugely elaborate but all fit the vibe of the old world feel they endeavored to create. We both loved the tricks and the couple's humor and chemistry, especially with all the audience participation, and even the cameo appearance of their little dog.

A showy, large Vegas-like spectacle this is not, but it is much better in my opinion, and meeting them after the show was a treat. I would gladly go see them perform again.

My husband and I stumbled upon the Carnival of Illusion via Trip Advisor while trying to find something fun to do during our trip to Phoenix. With such rave reviews, we both thought "We have to do this!" So we bought our tickets and got ready to be blown away.

Overall, the show was fun and it certainly was different. True to their word, the setting was very intimate--only about 30-35 people in the Biltmore Ballroom. We definitely got to see all of the action. Unfortunately, the show was a little disappointing. Several tricks were tricks we had seen before (in a cruise ship magic show by a street performer in a large city, etc.), so that part felt underwhelming at best. They did have some tricks that were new and exciting, but only about 3 (the little box trick, the grapefruit trick, and the infamous butterfly finale). All in all, I'm not sure we would go again. I'm not sure the price we paid was worth the experience we had. For someone with a bit more nostalgia this might be the right ticket.

My husband booked tickets to this magic show as a surprise and I have to say the show was magical and unexpected. This is not a glitzy Las Vegas show. It is small and intimate (sits about 100 plus people) and lots of fun to watch. I will not give too much away, but the performers were both excellent and funny. There was a lot of audience participation and everyone seemed to be amazed at the tricks and illusions. While the Biltmore is very pretty and historic, the show is actually in the conference area, but deserves a permanent stage of it's own. The show was 80 min with one short intermission. The tickets said for kids 13 and older, but they allowed some younger kids in the show who were very much entertained as well. After the show both entertainers came out to greet the audience. They both seemed very approachable and happy to hear that people had enjoyed the show. O LA LA....

Really a must see if you are in the area. The show books up quickly since there are only a limited number of seats. My only complaint was that if you wanted a drink you had to walk all the way back to the main hotel area. Would be smart of the hotel to set up a small bar in the hallway during intermission.

Went with my husband and 85 year old mother. Each trick, illusion, magical experience topped the prior one...also a great time of laughter together

We attended the show for this past October. This is an excellent and entertaining magic show reminiscent of the traveling shows of old times. What makes this show unique is the humor and the way they engage with the audience. I will definitely recommend this show family and friends.

If you have not seen Carnival of Illusion, you're really missing out. The setting is in a parlour and has an old vaudeville type of feel to it. It's a live, intimate, fun, and magical show that you will want to see again and again. I highly recommend this show and any other presentation that Roland and Susan put together.

My fiancé and I saw the show on October 17th and what a show it was!! The setting is so intimate and the magic is so up close and personal, you think you're on the stage with them. I have told all my friends and they are getting tickets for a future show! I also loved that they would talk to the audience afterwards and sign a poster for us even though they wouldn't tell me what was in their traditional drink! Go see this wonderful duo... you will NOT be disappointed! Denise/Craig
