We were going to do the guided, 2-hour tour with ATV's. There were plenty of trails appropriate for ATV's but, after judging our experience level, our guide suggested UTV's instead for the particular trail we'd be taking that day (same price). That was definitely a great recommendation! We would have had a lot of trouble with ATV's on some parts of THAT trail. The UTV's were perfect and we could not believe how easily they handled the rut, boulders and creeks. Our guide, Cody S., was fun, knowledgeable, patient, etc...everything you'd want in a guide. He kept the tour at just the right pace to challenge us and make it fun, while making sure we were not exceeding our abilities. He explained various plants, desert features and the Native American ruins to which he took us. He also stopped and let us know which parts would be difficult so that each of us got to drive on a variety of terrains. We'll definitely go back and try the ATV's too (on some of the less-demanding trails). We highly recommend this for family, friends, clubs, outings with coworkers...anyone who wants to get out in nature and have a little adventure. By the way...definitely go to Rock Springs afterwards for a meal, an ice cream, a beer, etc and don't forget to pick up one of their amazing pies!

For $75 you get 2 hours of ATV machine time, dust mask, helmet, and goggles. There are some difficult parts of the trails and mountains (to be expected) but the guides were amazing at saving the day when someone in the tour got stuck! Going up the mountain was optional for my group and Brandi explained accurately what it would be like. I would recommend going at 6am so that you can have a smaller tour group and more instructor attention! Overall it was an extremely fun experience!!

Overall we were very satisfied and had an amazing time with the guided UTV tour. Josh did an amazing job with the tour and loved the history lesson midway through the tour. Josh deserved a 5/5 for sure.

However, I’m only giving 4/5 stars because the actual sign up/check in process seems completely broken. We got there for a 3:00 ride around 2:45PM and didn’t get into the UTV until 3:30 and didn’t start riding until 4:00.. It just seemed like chaos up until the point we were driving. For the price, I’d absolutely still recommend this place over the competition as some of the others in the area priced 2x-3x the amount for the same paths in the desert which didn’t make sense to us.

Great time, highly recommended, once they fix their check in process, it’ll for sure be a 5/5.

We really had a good time. We reserved a 8:00am guided tour only to show up and be told we really don’t need someone to guide us because they have a app and a paper map and it would be easy to follow. So therefore; we took what the staff informed us and went alone which we all was afraid of the unknown since this was our first time ever doing something like this which we came from Texas. We ended up going alone which wasn't too bad except for this one death defying cliff we went up and couldn’t see over it so my husband decided to stop and get out of the UTV before going over and we glad he did because going straight we both would have drop off of the Cliff because you couldn’t see over it but we made a tight left turn. As a side note this area should have had a warning sign or to inform people who doesn’t know the trail to turn left SOMETHING! We took a couple wrong trails which left us with less time to do the ruins and to get back within the 2 hours window which would be impossible to do since we are unfamiliar. If a guided tour was there we could have appreciated it more since they know the history and with the guided tour being there we could have made better time, not gone the wrong way, and not had to skip one of the trails all together. They should really fix that on their site so keep that in mind if you are interested in a guided tour. Also, because we are unfamiliar with the area we became lost and returned back an hour late just to be told it will be an additional charge of $40.00 each with a total $170.00 which I feel is a gimmick to get more money from their customers. We asked for a guided tour but because they insisted it would be better for us to go alone and take pictures and since we already paid we went on our own with the repercussions of being charge for returning back late. I informed them we were lost and after informing them that we were asked to pay the additional money. I believe this was a setup since we do not know the trails even though; we downloaded an app of their map but my husband phone got too hot and he had to turn it off. Also, I tried to call twice but I had no service to get in touch with the staff to try to get directions. Maybe having the tour guide there would have helped and be less stressful because after the 2 hours it was extremely hot out there which we are happy we booked the 8:00am slot. Overall it’s an experience we will never forget. We got back at 11:35 and it was extremely hot so we are happy we pick an earlier time.

Paid and asked for a guided tour but the employees there said we didn't need one. They were wrong. The course was very crowded and dangerous. We didn't find out until after the ride that it was an advanced riders course. There were several accidents, people falling off and rollovers and there were no guides in sight. Other customers who were riding the course had to stop and help those who needed it. And I'm talking serious accidents with injuries, ATV rolling on top of someone. When guides finally came they were more concerned about damage to the ATV's than they were about the customer and their injury; even informing customers that they would be charged money for the damages (bent handle bars). One person overturned the ATV in front of me going up a hill and I had to park at the top of the hill, walk down to help her and we stayed there alone with no help in sight for what at least 5 minutes. Doesn't seem that long to wait but if she had been seriously injured, other than the broken arm she suffered, 5 minutes is a very long time. When the guide got to her, his words didn't hide the fact that the he was inconvenienced by so many accidents and was yelling at us that we only had a few minutes to get back. There was a point where I wanted to stop but as another reviewer said, once you were out there, there was no stopping, you had to keep going. I've gone ATV'ing numerous times and never have the beginning instructions been so unorganized and confusing. There were people who had never ridden before and there was no more than 5-10 minutes of beginning instructions and a quick ride around before being told to go out on your own on a dangerous course with lots of steep rocky hills. I would not recommend this particular place for ATV'ing unless you are a truly advanced rider. It was too reckless in that there were way too many vehicles on the course with no guide in site, it was a dangerous for course that is for the advanced rider and not an emphasis on safety.

I signed up for the 2 hour guided tour by ATV, since I was traveling solo, ATV seemed like the best option for me. When I got there, I was told the guided tour is pretty difficult for anyone not too experienced with an ATV and they recommend a UTV. Ok - fine with me. But there's a catch here (and why I took off a star), you have to pay for at least two seats in the UTV, even if you are just one person. So, I had to pay more when I got there and wasn't thrilled about it, but also I didn't want to risk getting hurt on the ATV if it would have been too difficult.

I had a blast with the UTV though and really enjoyed the tour. My guide, Jake, was really cool & relaxed, which made the experience even better since I was a little nervous about driving myself into the desert. He told us a lot of fun facts about the area, the cacti, and the animals in the area. I was really happy with the tour overall. I've been telling all of my friends to try it if they're in the area, but also have been warning them about the ATV/UTV switch & additional cost so it's not a surprise if they also book the ATV.

Arrived for an 11 AM Reservation and knew that Check-Ins can take some time so wasn't set on the 11 AM Start Time. I'm honestly not anyone that typically leaves reviews but 90 Minutes into the process, there were no ATV's, the workers were all scattered due to a wreck and nobody was there to really even let us know how much longer it would take.

It seems like a great idea for a business and I know there are some people based on reviews that have had a great experience but this was so unorganized.

I guess if you pay for a cheaper rental then you are provided with a cheaper service.

I asked for a refund after 90 minutes of waiting - one of the workers mentioned that I would receive one but still am awaiting that refund. Hope they are a company that at least honors their word.

The overall experience was great! Our guides Kate & Tyler were amazing! I appreciate the structure the organization has in place to instill confidence in the riders before going onto the actual trail. The guides were very knowledgeable and fun. I would highly recommend Arizona Outdoor Fun to anyone that is seeking an outdoor adventure led by a great company!

Our biggest complaint is that our tour was 16 ATVs! People kept showing up after our start time and being added to our group. Way too many for one tour. Although Dakota was great and accommodated us to ride behind her, we were stuck waiting probably a dozen times while she counted AND recounted all the ATVs in our group and let everyone catch up. Not sure why the other guide in the back wasn’t responsible for the tail drivers. That was super frustrating. We felt like we got half a slow trip with all the delays.

Secondly, we requested 2, 2 passenger ATVs, and ended up with the older 4 passenger ones. I was specific when I spoke with someone on the phone that we wanted 2 passenger. Don’t allow people to book 2 passenger if you don’t have enough of them or at least reserve them for those who call and confirm. They are clearly newer and better performers. Neither of our doors would latch so they had to be slammed from the outside.

Lastly, the face masks should be finer mesh or get doubled up. We were all coughing with major dust in our eyes and noses. Definitely didn’t feel good for the lungs.

I wouldn’t go back unless guaranteed a smaller group and we brought our own face masks. Not worth the money for the 4 of us and recommend going elsewhere based on this experience.

I wouldn’t recommend, it was very unorganized upon arriving. We arrived on time for our 2pm ATV and shoot tour. They had us wait an hour outside in the hot sun before the tour actually started then they were taking individuals who just arrived before people who had actually been waiting for a while. Seemed like they overbooked and were all over the place. They should pay more attention to customer service and quality experience rather than booking a bunch of people and not being able to properly service them. The tour was supposed to be 2-5pm but lasted until 6:30/7 due to all the delays.

Furthermore, we paid to shoot certain guns and it was not relayed to the shooting area. So we weren’t able to shoot what we came for after waiting all day then had to get a refund. The communication amongst management and employees was terrible. I wouldn’t go back or recommend to anyone.

They booked soooo many people on the ATV TOUR that we had to go so slow to make sure everyone kept up.. so having 17 ATVs trailing and stoping every 2 seconds isn’t fun. I gave 2 stars because the black male operating the gun area was very nice.

Save your money and book a better quality experience.
