When I first saw this facility under construction I thought it seemed too big for something like this. After visiting after opening I was amazed at how much music memorabilia is contained in this wonderfully designed structure. Be prepared to do lots of walking.

Spent one day at MIM, we'll be back. So many instruments I didn't know even existed and wonderful information about all of them. Loveed the hands on room for the kids to enjoy seeing what various instruments were like and how they sounded.

Surprised discovery in Phenix, this museum housed the most different kinds of musical instruments in the world. It's amazed to see whatever things makes sound. Music is the common language connect any cultures on earth. It's worth the time to go there.

I'll be the first answer my own question. I've just read in the "Policies" section of the website that, yes, there are wheel chairs available at no cost on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The closest resort is the JW Marriott, which is a very nice resort and within walking distance. You are also close to Desert Ridge, a shopping center with a variety of restaurants.
