Long but Amazing trip from Phoenix to Horseshoe Bend and upper Antelope Canyon. Jonathan our driver was very professional and made us feel comfortable. He was a very experienced driver and tour guide and provided background info also while helping with taking photos. The upper Antelope tour was a small private tour in an air conditioned tour bus rather than the usual open jeep ride to the Canyon. It was not crowded and we did not feel rushed at all. Steve Gerhart arranged for the perfect trip for me and my son. Highly recommend booking with Arizona Scenic Tours - this is my third tour and I’ve never been disappointed.

We started planning our (me, my wife, and our 13 son) trip only knowing that we wanted to see the Grand Canyon. As we started planning we discovered that there was so much more that we wanted to see and do, it almost became overwhelming, so I started looking for tours that would cover it all. I found a lot of day tours to choose from, but there was one company that kept catching my eye because of their glowing reviews and that was Arizona Scenic Tours. I emailed the owner Steve and told him what I had in mind. Within hours I heard back from him with an itinerary detailing a week of tours that he could take us on with everything on my wishlist and things that I hadn’t thought of. He booked our hotels in each area we stopped, booked our excursions, i.e. helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon and boat float/tour up the Colorado River, and he and Noel were our personal tour guides/drivers/photographers for the entire week. They recommended restaurants and shops and took us to all of the best viewing locations. Most importantly we felt very comfortable with them from the very start, because they were both very easy to talk to and ask questions and never made us feel rushed. We were so very impressed with their immense knowledge of each location and the areas landscape, culture, and history and they went above and beyond each and every day to make sure that this was a trip that our family would always remember.

To experience Soleri's concept and visit the site via a guided tour was very interesting. To watch the pouring of molten bronze into molds that will become their handmade bells was amazing. Lots of steps to walk but the benefit is seeing his concept of community living and their being self- sufficient to a degree today.

Hello! Thanks very much for writing a review of your experience. This is not a tour that we provided recently, so I think you meant to review a different company. I am sure the correct outfitter would love to have this review, so you may want to find them and review on their page. Again, thanks very much for taking the time to review your experience.

We are a group of 9 scuba divers who have been diving together for 30 years. We occasionally have the opportunity to do a land based dive trip such as this. The only water is fire water which we have been known to consume as well.

When planning the trip I realized that being based in Mesa and wanting to go to Sedona, we needed reliable transportation.

After reading the reviews and speaking to Steve, I knew it would be a perfect fit.

We started out trip going to bell rock chapel rock then off to upper Sedona for lunch and shopping . We skipped Tlaquepaque and went straight to wine tasting. Great Call 🥳 Oak Creek Canyon Winery was terrific.

The ride back to Mesa was full of singing and laughing but Steve was the best DD.

If you’re ever in need of transportation I would not hesitate to call.

The nature wonders of Sedona and Grand Canyon are breathtaking! The experience was both amusing and educational at the same time. Thanks to our excellent tour guide, Bobby who shared with us his enthusiasm as we enjoyed the beauty of AZ. It's all worth it. 😊

Enjoyed a very informative half day highlight tour of Phoenix with Mr. Noel. We learned a lot about Phoenix that we did not know. He answered all the questions we had. And helped us get souvenirs to take back to Georgia. Even stopped at a grocery store so we could buy some local cookies to take home. Also loved the stop at the Sugar Bowl:)

We booked a one day round trip Phoenix /Grand Canyon tour with Steve Gerhardt from Arizona Scenic Tours. It was a very comfortable and excellent tour. Steve picked us up at 7:30AM and we were off with several scheduled stops on the way including Montezuma's Castle (An Indian Cliff Dwelling a few miles south of Sedona). We made the trip in a comfortable six person van and Steve provided a variey of soft drinks for the trip. Steve has lived in Arizona for the last 30 years and he is very knowledgeable about the history, social and geological, and the flora, fauna and animals of the region. That being said it was clear that Steve could tailor the tour, the information, and the level of detail to whatever your preferences were. We spent quite a bit of time in Grand Canyon (about 4 hours) which included lunch and stops at three popular viewing sites located on the South Rim of the canyon. Coming home we drove through the Navajo Reservation and the Painted Dessert at sunset. This is defintely the way to see the Grand Canyon if you only have a limited amount of time. It was a real luxury to not have to drive to and from the canyon and just relax on the trip. Initially I checked some of the larger touring companies and the prices were the same as Steve's tours but with much larger groups so I know they can't be as relaxing and informative as Steve's. I'm going to attach the link to his website. He also told us that he can customize a tour in any way or length of time so if you don't see somewhere you were wanting to go on his website just ask him. Again, I highly recommend these tours to anyone ivisiting or living n the Phoenix area. Have a great trip!

We are a family of 4 with 2 boys (10 & 11) and the thought of going on one of those big tour bus tours with 40+ other people was just not appealing. We wanted to find a way for us to enjoy a day trip to the Grand Canyon that was fun, informative and relaxing (for the parents!). Steve and his company, Arizona Scenic Day Tours, did exactly that! Steve was incredibly knowledgable about all things Arizona and both our boys are still telling their friends information about Arizona that they learned from Steve. He handled everything from entrance fees, beverages, recommedations for the rest of our trip and had movies for the boys to watch on the dual screen dvd player in the van. I have recommended Steve to friends both in Arizona and at home and will continue to! Worth every penny!

We took this tour to the Grand Canyon, and Sedona. This was a truly excellent tour. Steve is like part historian and part naturalist, college educated, and really explains the area in a very pleasant and enthusiastic way. Maximum of six people in an SUV so you don't have to wait around for a group on a bus and waste a lot of time. It is like having your own private driver and tour guide. It only takes one day to do all of this. He knows THE places to go so you don't have to try and figure it all out on your own. Hotel pick up. Provides drinks. He stops where you want to go for lunch. The drive was truly beautiful into and out of the canyon. Took us to the best lookout points in the canyon. I thought the cost for what you received was extremely reasonable; I have spent almost as much just getting a car to my airport. I would DEFINITELY recommend him to a friend and use him again. You can also set up an itinerary to do what YOU want to do if you wish to go to other places in Phoenix or Arizona. If you want a customized tour to other sights, it might be a good idea to call before you arrive in Phoenix because he is very popular.

Tip: Book him directly rather than through your concierge, and the price will be even better.
