We just finished an epic rim to rim hike with Will and team. It was absolutely perfectly magical. I had been training with a coach for 14 weeks and was really struggling dialing in my nutrition (things were making me nauseous all the time). Will and I connected before the trip and his advise was spot on and didn’t struggle with nutrition or hydration the entire trip. His unmatched level of expertise, energy and personable personality made this extreme challenge an incredible experience. We can’t recommend Bad Ass Adventures enough for anyone looking for an epic challenge with guidance you can trust! Thank you, Will, for pushing me and ensuring such an amazing experience!

I had the MOST incredible experience with Badass Adventures. Will was impeccable with his knowledge and guiding skills. Going into the Grand Canyon for Rim to Rim is a huge undertaking, and it was important to me to be in the best of hands. Individuals in our group faced personal challenges, and Will guided us all through brilliantly. It was magnetic, adventurous, challenging and massive fun. I’ll 100% continue to book with Badass Adventures, I highly recommend them!

Will managed our large with great skill, keeping everything fairly low-key but also focused on priorities and pace all-day. His well-informed and time-tested plan was invaluable: start early, go down the steeper and higher south rim first, and move at a reasonable pace through 2/3 - 3/4 of the whole trek before the sun and heat hit us. I would recommend him to anyone concerning R2R. Can’t imagine there are any better, good-hearted, prepared-for-anything, experienced guides!

Absolutely fantastic experience. Our entire group was loved and cared for from the start, yet pushed a bit where needed to keep us on track for a timely rim to rim completion. I would trust Will to lead me into an area in which I had no experience, and rely on his guiding and direction. We experienced great things, had a great time, and it was even better than my very high expectations. Well done!

We had a fantastic experience with Will as our guide for our R2R trip. We had all levels of experience with hiking and endurance events and he took great care of all of us. Every detail was taken care of and Will made sure we were well prepared for the day. It was an absolutely epic day and we highly recommend Badass Adventures!

I’ve hiked twice with Will at Bad Ass, once in Escalante National Monument in Utah and once in Sedona, AZ. Being a relatively new hiker, hiking with a guide who knows these areas well gave me an opportunity to see more remote areas with the comfort of being with a professional who did the planning and research to ensure a safe and spectacular trip. He was very knowledgeable on the flora and geological formations, had all the camping equipment I needed and was an awesome cook! He was also very responsive and accommodating in the planning communications. Thanks Will!!

I’ve taken two trips with Badass Adventures and each one was, well, badass. From the bottom of the Grand Canyon to the peak of North Eolus in Colorado, Will helped me and my buddies accomplish our goals and have fun doing it (even when it wasn’t all that fun). He is professional, experienced, knowledgeable and can cook a pretty mean pad thai in the middle of nowhere. He also knows when to be a part of the group and when to disappear, a very rare trait among guides. I can’t recommend him highly enough. -Justin Baum, NC

Had a great time exploring the park. Will can tailor your adventure from mild to wild. It is nice having a guide who can show you what you want to see in the park expeditiously and get you out of your comfort zone. I definitely would not have climbed the giant boulder pile without knowing a guide had the knowledge that I was capable. Bad Ass adventures can push you past what you think you are capable of, while also showing you the off the beaten path, scenic sights that any beginner hiker can travel on. What ever your desired activity level, you will be accommodated.

we did R2R with Will Burkhart. I highly recommend. He was organized, knowledgeable, prepared us well, set expectations during the hike, and was very enjoyable to be with. The logistics were seamless and we were able to relax the whole time. We would definitely use BadAss again....
